good evening. we begin with breaking news and word that the storm named elsa is now a hurricane. with that, i want to go straight to our meteorologist. what's the latest on this story? >> within the last hour, hurricane aircraft have taken off to investigate elsa. now it hasn't even arrived. it's just arriving now. even without their valuable information and data, the national hurricane center went ahead and increased this value from tropical storm to category 1 hurricane based on information coming out of tampa. we knew it would happen sometime this evening. it will make landfall as a category 1. more on that in a moment. our rain amounts are going to increase. we're going to see five to ten, maybe isolated 15 now. the very first hurricane warning
