₱40M vegetable processing facility to rise in Benguet enablePagination: false endIndex: Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 23) — The Department of Agriculture said a ₱40-million vegetable packaging and processing facility will be built at Benguet Agri-Pinoy Trading Center in La Trinidad, Benguet. The DA said a groundbreaking ceremony was held on Dec. 22 for the facility that will be used for value-added processing of excess supply. “The rationale of having this food processing facility, ayaw natin na mangyari muli na iyong excess ay matatapon lang, (we do not want excess supply to be wasted again),” Agriculture Secretary William Dar said in a statement on Wednesday. “We still want to convert to value-added products.”
