Dancers visit Riverside in Newcomerstown

NEWCOMERSTOWN Dancers from Melody in Motion entertained residents at Riverside Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Dec. 15.
The event was organized by Trisha Whitehawk and family members from residents at the Center and featured eight dancers who performed Christmas routines for residents by dancing outside in the parking lot, with residents watching from their windows.
The dancers had recently performed excerpts from “The Nutcracker” and other holiday favorites for their annual Christmas recital, so they were ready with choreography to "Grinch" and "My Favorite Things."  Some residents were able to connect through their devices to family members outside so they could hear the music the girls were dancing to. Also on hand for the event were resident family members dressed in lighted costumes and, of course, Santa himself.
