Frederick A. Batten

691 THOMASTON – Frederick (Fred) Arthur Batten passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Joan (Belliveau-Hastings) Batten. Fred and Joan were best friends for 68 years and married for the past 50. Fred was born in Waterbury on March 25, 1939, son of the late Arthur Batten and Bertha (Huff) Stevens. Fred was a graduate of Cheshire High School and a U.S. Navy veteran. Including his loving wife, Joan, Fred is survived by his brother Robert Batten and wife Patti; his sister Barbara Sawyer; his children, Shelby Baz, Nicole Jensen, Alayne Julian and Stephen Batten; his four stepchildren, Nancy Mikulski, John Hastings, Michelle Lee and Kevin Hastings; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
