The home Allen Hazelton built by hand on Route 30 in Dorset caught fire around 4:30 p.m. on Jan 18 when an overheated woodstove chimney cracked, sending fire to move into the upstairs walls. Dorset firefighters were on the scene quickly and – with the help of Manchester, Arlington, East Dorset, Pawlet, Rupert, Wells and West Pawlet – able to save the structure.
