Huron Waves extends virtual holiday program

Article content HURON – Creating a music festival in the middle of a global pandemic may seem like an insurmountable challenge, but the Huron Waves Music Festival has successfully found a way to share music with the community through the struggles of COVID-19. After attracting the eyes and ears of over 13,000 viewers over the Christmas holidays, the festival’s virtual program’s availability has been extended until at least the end of January. Huron Waves extends virtual holiday program Back to video “It’s going so well that it’s beating all of our expectations,” said Huron Waves artistic director John Miller. “When we had hoped that we could touch perhaps 3,000 people with live concerts, and then you suddenly realize that in one event more than 12,500 people have watched it … It’s amazing to think in terms of a silver lining to the force that the virus brought which made us rethink how we do programming.”
