Merrill Girls break even with a loss and then a win, will battle the Evergreens Friday

The Merrill Girls Varsity Basketball team played Wisconsin Rapids Girls on Friday, Jan. 22, but despite having the home court advantage, the Bluejays lost to the Red Raiders by 18 points. Claire Drew (5 FG, 3 3 pt, 6 FT, 4 ast) put up 19 points and Courtney Krueger (4 FG, 1 3pt, 5 FT, 5 ast, 1 stl) put up 13 points in the game. Three other girls worked hard and put up 5 points each – Alayna Pozorski, Nicole Zoellner, and Prayla Pyan, respectively – but it just wasn’t enough to pull it out in the end.
