Daily maximum temperatures in Nagpur rose by 0.5C, from 39.5C to 40C, between 1969 and 2015. Heatwave days increased from six to 12 in this period, and severe heatwave days increased after 2005. The research suggests a hyperlocal approach to heat mitigation.
