Thank you to Stephen who texted in and says Hi Bob the Pac-Man machine the Space Invaders is long gone now that that point was closed in Durham this is what this is a conversation I did years ago on the program where can you still find Pac-Man machines an old school Space Invaders in pope's I think Stephen got in touch then and mentioned there was a pop in Durham but it's like it's closed now but weskit road bowling alley in Newcastle has a new park man machine for a power a pound a pound. That was 20 pounds when I used to play Pac-Man down the arcades. It. Was terrible and that years and years ago which black ball there's a lot of blood did it did I do you know I think you're right and that you will sit down sit down it was that the 2 peel on yeah for people that like to play arcade games and drink beer at the same time you know it's like a flat like a like are like a horizontal space invaders that you can put your pint on while you're playing at the dogs and I know they love that my favorite things combined into one discipline . Missy have forgotten all about table arcade games bring them every pub should have one of them I once played Pac-Man on a table in there we got the cockpit in Leeds so there were loads under the bridge I think it was under a bridge it's not there anymore it was a great big venue on point. Yeah. There was no the railway station. Yeah it's also a bridge. Yeah no disputing the bridge anyway they used to have a table Park man as well sorry I think we were constantly distracted here thank you to Dave of the alarm or Susie tuning in as always are sent in we normally send out a picture of alarm or but this week you sent in a gif gif ladies and gentleman of dharma with its head on its side drinking what looks like the contents of a water bought in somebodies back garden it's good you know it's impressive talking action from said Lama. The last time I tuned in was back in July. Its dedication and loyalty that's all we got from our listeners. Now we're heading towards the festive season and it's my birthday soon as well where has the time gone by just the time go James. But is the time to go I mean I can say that and nobody knows whether it's even something done that she didn't know where the time once wrote a song about it was lovely. To dot dot com a few tracks on there while I was over if you make music yourself upload it to b.b.c. Dot co dot u.k. Slash introducing the player stock of this stuff out on the program every Saturday night. Too late we are looking ahead on the program tonight to a dark dark Christmas number 3 which is essentially broken broadcasts on you will Christmas shindig at the Georgia Theater on 2022nd of December I've just seen it on the fly and James Rigol from the broken broadcast here in the studio Steve from the bear as well as a mouse is a playing as well be quiet shout loud also on the I do you game to do a live one James and then one of a little off the back of that right hang on let me so you have the chance to see. And check in a it's a night so apologies now advance of just a basically what I've done is stick to microphones in front of you and bomb the reverb up as much as possible which of your is that's all I would have done if we had sound check into make any difference really does that we're going to play for us. He said. It's all yours. We see my low. One since once before. In the muck in. A down the polls. He's out who won the seat. I want to see it all. Through but the movie knees Browne's to. We were told. I don't want to see it at all on. Mon. Once it was a c. Get. This we're all on the road. And. He let me all those. Who's out along. I know one. Hit. Gold. I. Told home. Gold. Gold. Was. That my. James Ray goal of the broker broke. Of applause in the studio. The county cricket applause. If you tell me do a little. Guy. B.b.c. Tees introducing Bob Fischer here 95 f.m. D.a.b. Online review 7 to 2 as well so right so good so yeah the 3rd dark dark Christmas coming up on the 22nd of December. Tell us about it a little bit is there any thoughts behind the dark dark Christmas cakes. Because we were just doing Christmas shows a dark and like. Quite dark. So the. Idiot Savant Christmas shows well we're doing them in the green room yeah far you know a good show. I think did you Chris was done came out of that I'm sorry I'm thinking of down Cochran doing his Christmas shows with idiot savant though I think they were still doing it well we did but we didn't the Green Room Yeah and most of our titles of songs are pretty dark. Christmas and I think with the father and that there weren't that close to Christmas right. And that is kind of get a bit bigger I think if you played on the fire alarm and yeah yeah you from I was it is a come into that mike a little bit so yes I think we had mouses and shoot in the panels plan Yeah last year we had. Coon play last year our Did James playing here it's kind of dancing as well really a man named George and I want let's do it. Judge in this year so we've got to pull the big guns out some houses and be quite a show like. Good stuff. So I know you doing Christmassy songs as part of their sound as it works out good off that stay is going to perform a Christmas song for us tonight. Performed loosely right Ok in the word attempt a better word at this juncture Yeah I think is there a smattering of Christmassy stuff in your set yet but maybe there will be by the 22nd. Are you dressing up for this I've seen you play Christmas gigs before in which quite frankly you look well you didn't look like an elf you were. Yeah well dressed so well you might well. Want to if you came in here tonight sporting a very striking yellow let's call it a. Yellow Hat you look to let you know you looked a bit elf like to begin with. A lot. Of that don't call me one of these troll amount. Which is all that's needed and that's that he's going to be a my next solo record for all the man you know it was just me for you look at you do you know that Harvey Fisher might have had the kid for it get. Was he didn't think it was Jaji. And company was kept in. His chase I thought there were times I mean there was a slight look of a garden gnome about you tonight when you came into the studio I made the film mistake of putting yellow hound 1st right when yellow and yellow right. Now I know it's got to be coordinated I think it's a charity gig as well the dark dark Christmas he said there's really going to. Call for charity you know. You're not going to raise money for a good cause I will do I will dress in much in yellow outfits if you give a couple of quid to charity it's not that you are raising money for me are you. Doing more answers to mental health by Gary. Who do speakeasy nights out off the ground in Middlesbrough Ok. The. The copyright I mean I print instructed in horrible and Ok zoning Goosby as well as a book you funny Grimsby missiles and all the Grimsby listeners tune in at 29 on a Saturday oh yeah you go. I want I want the curious experience in Cleethorpes you know that's where you know you're living clearly thought I'm going to say now right Ok. No it was. A long and boring story to begin with. Involves a long queue outside the only shop in Cleethorpes that was open 9 o'clock on a Tuesday morning in the form agreement be talent manager Lenny Lawrence but I'll just leave it hanging. That's my only experience of Cleethorpes and I think it's best to address it in an era of Enigma and mystery sorry I get so easily distracted What are you talking about James. Oh. Yeah. It's predominately promoted towards men but it's not you know it's not like I tell them not to call John again cos is promoting Men's Health. You can go in. There like minded individuals Yeah we had one in. Last week and the topic of conversation. Style was obviously kind of cups of quite a lot of course and. Adverts in Americans parts and was but there the random and over and downs and the really good and I think one of the things I found. Was that individuals is like if you've got mental health problems you know 100 percent know alone so go out and talk to people very much you know it's very helpful I have years I have hardly anybody out there that hasn't suffered with some kind of mental health issue at some point in their lives it's a really high percentage of people that will encounter this yeah I would it's something I'm going to try to break the stigma of fantastic job they've got a great blog or on mental health going on Facebook just type men tell health yeah and they've got their blog attached to their Facebook page but it's well worth a go and then we've got 150 here is Ralph mouse is they also run no borders I like them so yeah I'll ask you about you know borders and. If that's Ok we will talk about that love like Ok I'm going to pick up a truck see I should place a mouse is actually seen as you sit in there just seems like the polite thing to do was never. You know. Probably. This is green. And the and the and the no. And the I'm. Or. Are. These mousies that is green we got to stay for a mouse's here in the studio as well as other off I'm going to shift this monitor around because I can't see the pair of you it's all. The monitors in the studios are placed it ridiculously they like they used to be a nice little dip to bits in the desk so you could see above them and since the studio refer they're not just stuck there I would say it's really important that way a little bit I appreciate we've had like you know a 2 minute 45 2nd track in which to saw all of this out and we didn't but now. I was in the middle of a quite profound conversation that I think yes stay for a mouse's is there and Hannah there is your other half is there as well the all right yeah nobody ever asks yes I'm fine thank you. Did. You don't nobody ever asks apart from Hannah and James wriggle from a broken broadcast. Your microphone probably wasn't open James I didn't hear yeah it was a. Very reverb heavy acquiring after my health good to see you both thank you thank you for coming in tell us a little bit about no borders Chris James man should know borders. Are part of the reason for for doing this gig a dark dark Christmas to raise awareness and under that a bit of phones as well for no borders can tell us a bit about it yet it's just a little scene that we've started and. It's going to be costly and we're going to try and distribute it like everywhere that we can yeah. And it's just to kind of rivers awareness of a lot of different things you know what kind of issues mental health been like quite a major one like l.t. Bt issues you're kind of things like that and. Like sexual abuse. Yeah any any form of discrimination Yeah yeah I kind of just like started to get submissions and stuff in really and we're trying to base it like on like try to get as many people as we can to submit things for it's kind of like well the people speaking about these issues have you done this you already done is there one out there so no we haven't don't want them will be coming out on the day of. Grace so I kind of like a launch so yeah you'll have it there on the night yeah lovely I know that's great congratulations and good luck with that because it is an old school looking scene as well it will be other things they'll be Manny possibly photocopies involved. In the James is showing you so what are you showing him on your phone Mr Riggle this picture here are can't my glasses are so much that I can see things that are within 4 feet but nothing any further away from it. Like you know is this your poster at the Georgian theatre Yeah it was for most of all. To put some posters up there was a safe space one yeah you pushed for like 3 Santa report acct in the toilets as well and we put posters up and we've recently found out that they've kept them and kind of make them not made them like Official other so they've also joined us so they're just going to be there from now on which is paying off some are great at the launch of like the beginning of the idea for no borders then really it's kind of I think it was. Yeah it's kind of slow and then. We saw something that. Mostly women when it came of equal Yeah I think so yeah there was it was like a lot about feminist issues and civic that I think we just start like there's a lot of nice shoes that if everyone has we want to try and make something that included everyone you know where you know Borders Yes And so I think loose enough Yeah yeah I just try and let people know that like it's Ok to speak out about stuff like that and you try and make things not to be in a way yeah well good luck with that and I was the 1st issue kind of like 3 weeks away here from from dark dark Christmas is the 1st is you pretty much done is old to bad yeah are you still working on it like Kenya's new power and. You got. To send some comics in like the Guardians. And then. Yes So I saw something like that yeah he was based in France Ok we just kind of light Paul Auster from social media about submissions and some of the ones that we got were like yeah quite far away it was crazy let's learn just wanted to get involved throw as much as the full world of the Internet age so if you're a Facebook group Facebook page Facebook page and everything I look for no borders Yeah yeah lovely or I'm going to play a couple of tracks a and then we'll come back we'll talk some more various bits and pieces to read I think I go do another one in the studio James you go for doing a Christmassy song still Spirit hugely kind of it's going to press you on this or was I will feed piece putting to. You the secret stash it in some way. This is Aqua Velva the rather what I play this couple of weeks ago a lot of people liked it so I thought we'll give it a spin again this is called snowshoes Thompson. But we'll see you find out the big day tomorrow time of our life every day from 12th b.b.c. T.v. . There's a song Dear dear dear gather cloth which b.b.c. Cheese introducing which shall fish. Which is. A co-author of it and then his long was. Beyond. On the. Mom. Couple of trucks for your dedication 1st of all you Aqua Velva snowshoes Thompson I mean trade to know if snowshoes Thompson was actually a person with snowshoes Thompson some kind of optical Explorer job was alive you can find Aqua Velva us on the Facebook Alright look for Velvets Aqua on the switch that one is Barbara Helen the wonderful Barbara Helen asco. Distance she has got an album out an unfamiliar place but recording new stuff as well I think she is Barbara Helen 79 I think she is on the Facebook I did bump into Barbara Helen in Middlesbrough town center on Black Friday so every Black Friday as I think we should call it she looked slightly shell shocked at having been around the shops in Middlesbrough on Black Friday but then so did I It was like a little support group outside British host a horse which isn't there anymore is it. We're working on Black Friday May Well I think that every month well. They were trying to think of which seems from films that we could compare it to what did you say Well I sat there for the t.v. Show Game of Thrones Oh yeah and then it went to the only. District Yeah thank you my experience of it I thought it was a bit like Helm's Deep the battle of Holly's deep in the 2nd Lord Of The Rings film Well it wasn't just it's just the battle it was that I couldn't get parked anywhere in Middlesbrough town center I depart for the afternoon show on the top the vet like the roof of the Captain Cook Square car park and I'm not good with heights and there so I'm going to moan about this now because there's nobody else's fault but mine but when I went to go back to the car once I'd spoken to Barbara Helen in the streets of Middlesbrough outside what was British I was stars. I went back I went to the very top of what I thought was Captain Cook Square car park and there's no sign of my car anywhere. And I just couldn't see it as a place to show this one apart it's a rooftop car park Captain Cocke square why isn't my car here and then I went to the very edge of the car park which was you know a task in itself because like I say I suffer from vertigo and I could see my car on the roof of a different car park across town but couldn't work out how to get there it's only about an hour to remember where we actually park the car and work out how to get up to it I was a mess that I did. Have a small glass of port wine and I got home that evening. Anyway right delightful think we have a new single by going to join in with ace. I know imagine you're speaking of the battle of Helm's Deep. Gandalf's faced centers their Christmas single gun dolls faced our favorite prog rock band they came was a lot so it was a year ago they came in I think it was like good grief. As it was really it was pointing out earlier on difficult to know where the time goes but have to get them in again at some point right Gandalf faced as a regular listeners to this program both of you will be aware.
