Amounts of barracks in Germany Chris Kane went along to one of the final rehearsals and last we heard from director and the musical director Sanaa Let's hear from one of the students who will be performing he star starting with William who plays Troy Bolton and Chris asked him why he got involved this year I watched these guys do the formants as last year and I 4 because I've done 4 minutes in. My Give it a go process might be a final thought and maybe take a lead role which I did so being the lead role in the main character is a lot of pressure huge pressure on my shoulders on top of A levels and trying to get it all together at the end of the day I think you know. And how the rehearsals go. In the beginning is really tough to come together now and I think everybody else can agree that it's going well now before it was really really hard you play Roy who is. Kind of a bad guy really why did you want to play him I'm not very good when it comes to been center of attention in the play because I did the production last year and I played Tom and discord and I was kind of a 2nd role that so I thought again because I'm not as good at singing as some people like well so I went for a still bake and people can really think I can really play that quite well as opposed to someone who's ready to sing and dance and so that's why. So you've done this before you did it last year do you find Now the other students kind of come to you for advice I would really say so no because everyone in the cast is really talented in the right way so everyone really brings something special to the cast I think of myself as a funny one and Will's a talented one and then those people are really good at dance and so I think of what helps each other out with lines and so it's not one person that. You're playing a cheerleader Have you ever done any cheerleading never done anything. I don't like being up on stage and attention sass of right didn't take as my friend instead. And it was like my childhood so we all want to join and. Get tickets now at the people like because we have a genius cast all they way. To the. People who were. In the normal day says. Now you don't come across as a mean person you actually seem quite nice but. Very me. Character Oh yeah massively can be a lot of hard work because he's often very rude and. So it's hard to get into that kind of role. And this isn't the 1st time that you've done acting so is it something that you've always liked. Into different characters and playing different roles moving on so you know you know on stage you're doing the same for the show so what made you want to get into that side of things I've been in for 7 years I've seen many performances and they're every single one so I want to try a different aspect of the performer not acting. Or anything else I wanted to do this performance is really technical everyone. Doesn't seem to understand to me it seems really easy. To understand which makes me feel like a genie in so doing you should know the play because you've got to know when to turn off what you think of the whole thing well I don't like the film but the performance I'm kind of preparing to really enjoy now I think everyone's got a really good talk to share and moving on to you playing a great character coach big fun of all you know. Coach Well just a genuine interest in drama really I really like getting immersed in the character and putting my own twist on something that people know already is my favorite part . Every. Moderately. Talking to who is playing it. Playing raw in playing Troy playing Sharpei and playing. Who was the director lots of insight there remember that tomorrow with. Long just given. 3 more songs of news. Lead.
