This has my best one the ready for this I can be saving this to step in ready the Prodigy. Toss up. Some of that in about 30 minutes right. Now on the show yesterday we spoke to bestselling author Max author about his new book called The pirates which includes interviews with soldiers who've served or still serving in the Parachute Regiment a life in the wilds his max talking about how we got into writing. For my great love of Manchester United and for the 25th anniversary of the crash I don't know what it's going to do anything about it so I actually wind up with a tape recorder which I never used in my life and I include all the supply all the crash next to one thing to. Do and then I thought I've been sporty somehow into a book and so that was my 1st book and that coincided with the end of the campaign in the Falklands and says Some say What did you do to Fulton's so and then from there on to Northern Ireland long time in Northern Ireland get a book out on that then eg the the actual parachute regiment again Sgt I kicked off with them from that 1st many of the red brave which came out in 1907 so it's sequence of r e f Navy Om and then the 2 great books of the 1st and 2nd world war it he's doing to the cause is quite tough isn't it when it comes to compiling a book like this you know it's like teasing the favorite children I'm sure that is so wrong I mean what I've done I'm going to hold a couple of 1000 mages ingested I want the best boys you know for one or 2 bad 3 or 4 and let me know I'll find them off to that where you can and they found really everyone in the book for me 10 Tell us about some the stories the component evoked I mean they range is Boston I think probably images being area for the for them really was costume that seemed to be seen to make the greatest impact on them because. If they'd gone from a war in Nice to fighting an enemy really big uniforms and suddenly they find themselves in small villages in Khost and they did in a way the enemy is what he looks like and then lots of fairly murderous stuff and out of body bags I'm remember one office is describing how they go in Boston Mass Grave and sewer hands to sticking out by the watch on their hands so taking. The c.f.a. Undermining things really so grim grim stuff you know you don't join the army in many ways for that but the modern army. I mean that shows flexibility over the ridge from that you know into Iraq and Afghanistan places you know really ferocious fighting some of those ferocious fight him they've heard anything that really interests me Max is not only fantastic it articulating the stories in your books but you must be very good interviewing these people how do you know about it what do you do you give us a call feel how do you start a conversation about the still show I've been to 3237 people so I just enjoy talking to them I mean I've had some pretty grim gusty stories this I'm obviously lying it was and I think that one the haunts me. Quote He saw them and call Ridge who wouldn't and obviously didn't wouldn't and it was on him and he was firing is mortar were all of his friends around there were dead and he just saw about half a dozen Germans advancing on him determined to kill him and so he'd pretty set maximum and chop one mortar up and 3 up in their lands and kill them both just nearly blew him to pieces himself and so on is a tent in a terrible neurological condition which arms and legs thrashing out plays ball make a belly to Stoke and send a good drink and government to a. Place I know what I'm going to do so I just posted here then I realised that he had never told his story and as he told his story he got quiet and quiet and there was no trim there was nothing there to and he just was left the back door it's like it was that repeated Silca bounce and yet he actually has a sense of the kind of spree to call all of the powers and how they different from the mother so just they did so really because they see. Just late very strongly these lads. And. Physically mentally even. May not have become like girls nothing seems to faze them there doesn't seem to faze them it doesn't at the time and that does later on as the years go by but they have been great belief that they are the base that was talking about his book The Power. a copy of the book if you follow us on Twitter b f b s re tweet tweet we'll be doing the drool in the next couple of days. There's a. Growing. Market in the city of a. Pretty cool stones. Into a legacy. Ways to look. At it you're going to see. A. True. Artist. This is a. Pretty good. Legacy. Which is. Because.
