Untile meet tilwe meet ain untile meet the lone ranger a firy horse, with the speed of light a cloud of dust and a hearty hiho silver. The lone ranger this is a story of one of the mysterious characters to appear in the early days of the west. He was a fabulous individual his presence brought fear to the lawless and hope to those who wanted to make this frontier last as their home. He was known as the lone ranger before his coming this new land of the west was a wild unruly territory into which brave american pioneers moved in with covered wagons on horseback and of foot. They were in a rugged existence. But not only did they have to settle and build, they had to fight. Here beyond the reach of law and order, mike was right the best shot with the best man. More of a necessity in this chaotic period of expansion. An organization was developed to combat the evil forces of the time an Organization Called the Texas Rangers ever on the job of maintaining law and order, six Texas Rangers ride alertly across the western landscape. All are courageous great shooting men. At their head is a stranger, a half breed scout. One day earlier appeared at a ranger encampment, suffering from severe wounds. There you are cullins. Nothing to worry about now. Thanks, captain. I shouldnt worry about a wound. Im lucky to be alive. Youre right. Very few people are after those outlaws have struck. Killed everybody at the trade post. Everyone. Mr. Simpson, his shape. They had to be tied to their horses to ride away. Ier, got two of themle kin to henry. D myself. Too bad you couldnt have hit more of them. Where did they go . they rode up north into the batland. Thats pretty rough country. But with wounded men in tow, they cant travel very fast. We gotta try and catch them. But they have a five hour start. Even if you over took them, they out number you. Mr. The rangers are use to long odds. How about you . We could use your help to locate their trail, if youre Strong Enough to ride. I dont need to worry. Besides, i have a score to even up too. Ill go along. Good, man. Boys, add five days ration. Got ten minutes to be in the saddle. Right. Bill, send captain reed. Yes, sir. So came to half reed cullins. Who rides with a detachment of rangers after the most ruthless outlaw band of the west. The notorious cavendish gang. Its their trail, reed. Yeah. It indicates their riding slowly as we figured. Yeah, it does. Lets go, boys. Weve gained on them. These tracks cant be more than three hours old. They are heading off into that canyon. Yeah, looks that way. Have you been in this vicinity before . A couple of time. I think it might be a good idea for us to check that canyon from the rim first. Ill go ahead and scout the place. One man will be a lot less better then with all of us going on. Alright. Well wait here and give the horses a rest. Dismount, men. Hold it. Creech. Hello, whitey. Its you. The new lad, huh . Yeah, its me. Hows the plan going . Alright. The rangers are back at the canyon entrance. Do you think theyll keep on coming . Sure, why not . Pretty small in numbers, ya know . Yeah. Weve tried to get them before, didnt pan out. I wasnt with ya, then. Wheres cavendish . Hes up there a ways. Leave your horse here. Alright. I knew theyd fall for my little trap, collins. That bow they put in your arm really convinced them. Yeah, cabinly, it sure did. When i get through around here, its going to be a long time before any ranger outfit patrols in this section of the country. Im gonna make this something they wont forget. Is the ambush all set . Take a gander over there. We can slaughter a whole army from up here. Phew. It looks good to me. Now were gonna hold our fire until they ride in the lone men ride in directly below us. Jerry, you tell us to shoot first. That will be thing signal to open up on the rangers. Right. And jerry, when a man goes down i want led to be kept pouring into him until he looks like a seal. You got that straight . Cullins, youre doing a good job for a new man. Thanks, chief. Now get back there and bring on the Texas Rangers. Yeah, sure thing, chief. See anything . Yes. But not on the rim. The cabin is just leaving the bottom side of the canyon. They are about four miles off. Are you sure . I saw their side of the canyon. Good. Carry on, men. For over 10 years now,. He was right behind us awhile ago, i saw him. Look. Its an ambush, men. Get down. Find cover quick. Weve got chance that half breed trader, cullins. [ gun shots ] okay, men, hold it. Hold it. Hey, collins yeah, chief . Check those men down there. Make sure they are dead. You got em all. Good. Go on back to your horse. Well wait for ya uop here. I thought he was one of us, chief . He was. Any man who would betray those rangers might be just as easy to turn on us, i figured. And no one does that. Its gonna be a nice little reminder for anybody who tries to stop me from now on. Now lets get out of here. We got a lot of work to do. Many hours after the cavendish gang has left t strung road. A small spring gurgling in a shady cave is his destination. He alone of the six Texas Rangers, still lives. His one aim is to reach water and shade. Desperately, he fights off the weakness from loss of blood, which threatens to haul his progress. It is deathly hot, the sun beats down unmercifully. Ahead is that cooling light giving water. If his strength could only last. Foot by foot, cheer torture, he pulls himself along. There, out of the hot glare of the sun, only a short distance further, theres the spring. Now his bandana. There. Cold water never felt better. Never seemed sweeter then now. A hundred yards away, collins stirs. Unaware of the existence of the spring and the ranger who lies beside it, he too, miraculously has escaped a mortal wound from a cavendish bullet. And he too, like the ranger, knows that death lurks in the hot rays of the sun. He must seek shelter somewhere, quickly. Within the confines of the canyon. Weakly, he stumbles off. To find shade, to nurse his wounds. Then as is by fate, a third figure, an indian enters the hot canyon. Surprised, he sees the results of the cavendish gangs handy work. Texas rangers, sprawled in attitudes of violent death. These were men to whom heroic deeds were a part of each days work, now there work was done. Then by chance, the native spies a figure lying beside the distant pool. He moves forward. Lay still. I will not hurt you. Why you. You kimosabe. Kimosabe . That sounds familiar. Thats right, kimosabe. You trusty scout. Trusty, scout . Yes, ranger. A long time back when we both young. Me remember time indian camp learned. Renegade indians raid settlement when men of tribe away. Kill my mother, my sisters, they leave me for dead. You found me. Nursed me back to health, saved me from dying. When me well, you give me horse to go find my father. Me take horse only when you accept gift. My ring. It made good luck. Me call you, kimosabe. It mean, trusty scout. I never forget you. You remember now . Yes. You. Youre tonto. Thats right. Me, tonto. Now, me take care of you. Immediately, the indian, tonto unsaddles his horse and sets up a camp at the entrance of the cave near the pool. And the injured man. The rangers wounds are cleansed and expertly dressed by the indian. Who calls upon all the lure he knows. To ease his white friends suffering. Several days of patient vigil, and tender care and careful feeding, bring results. The ranger, gradually regains his strength. He is going to live. I guess i drifted off again. How long have i been here now . Three days, how you feel . Still a little weak. The other rangers tonto, all dead . Yes. One of them, captain reed, was my brother. Too bad. Rangers all fine men. We didnt have a chance, tonto. It was an ambush and double cross. How did you happen to find me . Me hunt here in canyon often. Ride in here on scout. Over yonder, find rangers and dead horse. I see. While you sleep, me bury other rangers over there. Make grave for men. Bring belongings here. That was good of you, tonto. Brave men. They were brave. And they wont be forgotten. I spend a lot of time thinking. For every one of those men, i am going to bring a hundred lawbreakers to justice. Ill make that cavendish gang and every criminal that i can find for that matter, regret the day those rangers were killed. Tonto, from this moment on i am going to devote my life to establishing law and order to this new frontier. To make the west a decent place to live. That good. But when the cavendish gang know you escape ambush, you marked man. They hunt you down. Many against one. No one is going to know im alive. Im suppose to be dead and im going to stay that way. Ill hide my identity somehow. Ill wear a disguise of some sort. You mean like, mask . Thats it, tonto. From now on, ill wear a mask. Here. This. My brothers vest. Belonged to one of the bravest of them all. Me help, kimosabe. You rest now. Alright, tonto thanks there, face wounds all healed now. Let me have the mask. There. Fits perfectly. Good job, tonto. Here, hat, me wash in stream. Dry in sun. Make whiter. Thanks, tonto. Here, gun, to kill bad man. Im not going to do any killing. You not defend yourself . Oh, ill shoot if i have too. But ill shoot to wound, not to kill. A man who dies, its up to the law to decide that. Not the person behind the six shooter. Thats right, kimosabe. Well, theres just one more thing to be done. Whats that . Dig another grave. Up there. Who is that for . Thatll be my grave. There. Just like others. Thats good. Only you, tonto, know im alive. To the world, ill be buried here, beside my brother and my friends. Forever. You all alone now. Last man. You are a lone ranger . Yes, tonto. I am a lone ranger. Kimosabe . Me help you fight outlaw. But, tonto . Dont you have a family . Anyone . No. Me lone like you. Me want law here, too. For all. Alright, tonto youll be a lot of help. Well ride together. Me fight kimosabe. Me fight good for you. Take cover, tonto. Thats cullins. The man who led us into ambush. Why he shoot . Got a lead hes after your horse. Collins must have been deserted by the outlaws. Hes probably been making his way to that advantage point for sometime now. Why him go there, kimosabe . That was the only way to get scouted to kill us. Hes well protected up there. What do we do now . Im going to keep him back under cover while you make a run for scout. Take scout into the cave. Collins wont be able to see you from there. Me do. Ill follow, tonto, as soon as youre safe. Alright. Run. Did you hit him . No, tonto. I didnt try. Were going to capture him alive. That hard. Him in good spot. Yes, but i have an idea how we can do it. You start up the cliff on that side. First, tie up scout. Ill try to throw his fire from the other side of the rocks. Kimosabe look out ill get you now, ranger. Will the lone ranger triumph on as he fights on for justice law and order . Be sure to be with us again. theme music playing the virginian this is Fairfax County in the state of virginia. I was born here. Its peaceful, beautiful, and a long, long way from wyoming beautiful, too, in its special way vast, proud and lonely. Its my country now wyoming but not exactly a peaceful one. It had happened before, in new mexico, where over 100 men were killed in 1878; in montana, where scores more died only a few years later; and now it was happening in Wyoming Range war. The stakes were always the samecattle and land. And the opponents were the same big ranchers versus farmers seeking open range to settle on under the homestead act. The cattle man who came first and carved his vast rangeland out of the wilderness saw himself facing destruction as the homesteaders settled on his range, fencing him off from the grass and the water. The homesteader had many names in the west squatter, nester, and sometimes, with truth, rustler. The cattlemen struck back, fast and hard. dog barking what are you doin here, nicky . barking continues mom . Mom mom, what happened . Whats the matter . Oh they sobs oh, homer. Ma, wheres pa . Ma, what happened . nicky barks homer hey hey, hold up there homer . What do you think youre doing . Thats our cow. I know it is, son. Its got our brand on her. Cant you read it . Ma, that was judge garths foreman. What are they doin to pa . Im no thief. Thats the last time im gonna say it. Youre murderers. Every last one of you murderers. Major you say that cow of yours over there is the mother . She was a good mile from the calf we caught you with. I told you before she was spooked by a prairie wolf. Didnt spook my cow fifty yard away her bag bursting with milk, looking around for a calf bawling her head off youve said enough, major. Lets get on with it. Both cows are here. Now lets make the test. All right, tatum. The calf will decide who he belongs to. Help me help me, steve grab him oh, my leg pa oh. Homer. Pa. Pa, i thought theyd its all right, son. Its all right. Ill fetch it. The virginian the rope burned him a little. Thats it. Looks like a bad break here just above the ankle. The doctor ought to set it before it swells up. Mrs. Tatum. I dont know what to say. Ive tried from the day this started to find charity in my heart for all of you. Im afraid its more the lords given me strength to do. Youve hounded us, called us thieves, and youve next to kill my husband almost before my eyes. Theres no forgiveness left in me. The virginian ill send the doctor over. nicky barking hello, judge. How is he . His legs bad. Get doc spence. Ill give you 100 to one hes got his mark on 40 of my mavericks. If we hadnt got cute, wed had him hanged. Too bad, major. Now we got nothin to celebrate. Hell try it again. Man . By your outfit that you are a cowboy these words he did say as i boldly stepped by come sit down beside and here my sad story i was shot in the breast and i know i must die guitar playing how many . How many . Oh. Three, i guess. Man ill take three, too. Mickey, do you have to play that song . Man dont let him talk you out of it, mickey. Its the only song for this kind of an occasion. Evening, gentlemen. You all had a big day. Must be tired. Quiet around here. Youre a couple days overdue, arent you . You know, come to think of it, i am. Thats funny. A man can kind of lose track of time up there in the high country. Who was she this time, trampas . What would you mean by that . Did you get down to check the calf crop while you were up there . Skimpy. Seems all the cows have lost interest in romance. Heh. And nester cows all got triplets. Biggest calf crop in nester history. Heh. You know what i think . I think its what they put in the water. Lydia e. Pinkham thats what. Well, ask jubal tatum. You dont want to let that little goaround today get to you. Its been comin for a long time now. Why, it was just like montana. What do you know about what happened in montana . Ran into a stock detective up in the high country. The swede . Swede. Bunked with him first night out up in the line shack. Was he running with the cattlemen or the nesters up there in montana . Nesters dont have money enough to afford stock detectives. But he said a man would think it was the indian wars all over again. Burned out cabins, barns, hound dog lyin in a corral with a bullet through one eye, mules stifflegged, burned to a frazzle. Buzzards all over, rabid. The stink of death. The swede say he thought it was gonna get close to that here . He didnt say one word about here. What was he doin up on the saddle anyway . Russet huntin, i expect. What else . Did you find any cut fence or damped out fires while you were up there . Some. Hows jubal . Man busted leg. Whyd you let him off . He was branding his own calf. Now, theres a coincidence for you. Why, do you think he throws a long rope . If he dont, hes loco. If i was jubal tatum, and a maverick turned up on my range, i wouldnt leave it up to swede torgerson to tell me who it belonged to. Id have that maverick marked and thrown before he knew what hit him. I wouldnt talk that way around the judge if i were you. Wouldnt surprise him none. He threw the long rope in his time. Trampas, why dont you go put your head in that basin and leave it underwater for a while . Oh, i aint faultin the judge, boss man. But you know as well as i do the greatgrandmammy of most of these cows here, boss, is somebodys maverick poppin brush down in texas. Until some smart boy like henry garth came along, swingin his loop. Well, you just keep talkin like that, trampas. Youre gonna find yourself elected president of the grange. I just might take it, too. Thats it. If somebody staked me to a filing fee, show me a stretch of good grade, hand me a long rope with a wide loop in it, id be in business tomorrow. Man and that rope just might turn into a gun tomorrow. Thats all right, too. Well, they cant both be right, trampas. There aint no right or wrong. As long as the money keeps comin in. Deal me out, boys. guitar playing continues hell get over it. whistling how are you coming with the sampler . Not very well. Did you do your homework . Tomorrows saturday. Betsy i dont understand. I know mrs. Tatum and homer. Ive ridden into school with homer. Hes a nice boy. And your friends almost hanged his father. Would you excuse me, daddy . Where you goin . Im tired. Good night. nicky barking mrs. Tatum, good morning. Hows your husband . Id like to talk to you. Nothing for you to say. You might let me try. Why dont you just go off and leave us alone . Pretty big ax for a boy your size. Bigger than i could heft at your age, ill tell you that. A lot of man in you already. How old are you, homer . Comin on 13. Showed some sand yesterday, cuttin loose with a winchester on 20 armed men. That took some doin. I shouldve took time to aim. Maybe its just as well you didnt. Next time. Next time i will, mister. You remember that. You dont want to feel that way about it. I thought we might talk it over, man to man. I wish i was a man. Judge come in. Mornin, judge. Good mornin. I was looking over the bill for the fencing. Trampas get back . Last night. Did he find any cut fence . Two or three places. Did he run a tally on the calves . Just rough. He said the crop looks skimpy. Estimate way off, huh . Hard winter. Not that hard. Put out a tally on it next week. Yes, sir. Sir . Arent we a little formal . Come inside. Have a cup of coffee with me. Morning. Morning. Morning . Is that all i get . No smile from the woman im gonna marry . Sit down, help yourself. Thank you. Its no better than the bunkhouse coffee, but its in a prettier pot. So, hows the grass upstairs . Ill be bellydeep in another month. Good. Youre not eating. Im not hungry. All right. Go ahead. Hard to explain what happened yesterday to a 15yearold girl. Ah. I expect youll want us to ride up some creek today and lay out those temporary corrals for the roundup. You come across any cut fence, id like to hear about it. Any branding fires, tracks of shod horses. And find out what happened to 7 of my spring calves. I figure ill leave that to swede torgerson. Thats what you pay me to do. What are you tellin me . Did some thinking about what happened yesterday. Decided i dont want any more of it, thats all. Maybe we wont have a choice. You think about that . Yeah, i thought about it. Yesterday that man was innocent. It was fortunate for us all. But there are others that are guilty. When youre attacked, you hold your ground or you quit. I dont quit. Ill see to those corrals, judge. Doc spence . Hows jubal tatums leg . Might as well have hanged him. Two weeks out of commission, and hes already through. Why do you say hes through . Maybe youve got a way to keep a halfsection going on a pair of crutches. I couldnt tell him how. Cant he hire a man . He didnt have enough money to hire me. Hell be walking by harvest time. If theres anything to harvest. Now, if you dont mind, id like to get back to my practice. knock on door come in. You come here to address the meeting . No, just you. Anything you got to say to me, you can say to my friends here. Come to apologize, is that it . Thats part of it. Judge garth sends his apologies. Thats fine. Weve been holding our breath waiting to hear. Skelly let me finish. You tell this to judge garth. And cass and torgerson and the rest of them. You pushed us as far as were going to be pushed. Were not moving another inch. You made a big mistake when you tried to hang jubal. Were fightin together now, and we wont quit till we run you out of wyoming. I didnt come here to speak for judge garth. Just for myself. Anything you need while youre laid up, just call on me. Thats all. Well take care of him when the time comes. Dont you worry about that. Dont go making a hero out of me, skelly. I just had a run of bad luck, thats all. I meant what i said to that man. We are fighting together now, thanks to you. There wasnt no christianity till there was a crucifixion. What does that mean . Youll see. Well leave you now, let you get some rest. Lets go. What are they tryin to make out of me . Well, looks like the workin committees out in force today. Whatd you expect . A little less impertinence from you, for one thing. Morning. Good morning. Hows your leg . Ill manage. How are you doing with the chores out there . I got my wife and boy. Thats all i need. That offer of mine still holds, you know. organ playing mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the lord he is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored all he hath loosed the fateful lightning of his terrible swift sword his truth is marching on glory, glory, hallelujah glory, glory, hallelujah glory, glory, hallelujah his truth is marching on i have seen him in the watch fires of a hundred circling camps they have builded him an altar in the evening dews and damps i can read his righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps his day is marching on glory, glory, hallelujah glory, glory, hallelujah glory, glory, hallelujah his truth is marching on jubal jubal im all right. Here, let me help. I can get up by myself listen, you cant be running out here every five minutes. Pa, did you hurt yourself . Im fine. You go on back to your cultivating. Those weeds are growing faster than you are. All right, give me that. You cant do it theres no use in you trying let me decide that. Give me a chance to learn. Ill have these holes dug before dark. Melissa oh, a womans such a useless kind of thing i wouldnt have dared say that, but. Since you mentioned it, why. Now, look, i got to get this be nicky barking this is still my land. I know it. Go on back to work, son. Wait a minute, homer. Go tend to that calf. Shes gonna bust if somebody doesnt milk her directly. What do you think youre doing . You go on up that porch and sit yourself down in a rocking chair and keep your mouth shut. Ill let you know when i want your advice. Go on, homer, scoot now, you go on inside, where your work is, where you belong. Whoa im gonna hedge the team now, homer. Put the ditch in, let the water on the field. Its awful dry. Pa says suppers on the table. Ii quit now, were all through. Nobodys quittin. Sometimes its better to quit than try and hang on. Except i know all there is to know about quittin. Jubal. Dont try and hide it. Ive quit a lot of times. Once broke with a feed store in getty, illinois. Got chewed up by a locust plague in utah. Tried chicken ranching in california failed at that, too. A mans luck cant stay bad forever. Yeah, thats what i figured when i came here. Swore id make it. Its a good piece of farmland here. Plenty of water, open range to run my beef. Now this. Well, you arent licked yet. I cant afford to be licked. Im the patron saint of cottonwood creek. Glory, hallelujah. I bet this is the first time an accused cow thief has ever been elected head of a crusade. That cow thief talk is just an excuse to run us out, and you know it. Your own man said as much. Whos that . That mr. Torgerson. Swede . When was he here . Oh, about two weeks ago. Checked every brand on our herd, every earmark. Couldnt find a thing. Whered he go when he left . I dont know. He had a packhorse. Up in the high country, i guess. neighing war counsel. Major cass and some of the other ranchers. Theres blood on the moon, boss man. Hmm . Come in, come in. Sit down. I want to talk to you. Brandy . Thank you. Help yourself. Something is worrying you. Yes. You, judge. I never seen you this way before going along with a man like cass, keeping your own counsel, not stepping up and twisting his neck with whats right and whats wrong. I dont understand it. Well, theres a train. Comin around the bend right now. Not a Little Branch line, but a fireeating son of a gun with a belly full of coal and a full head of steam, and its going to smash those thieves for good and all, right now. Thats why we had this meeting. I saw em ridin away. Every rancher in the valley. Talking army talk, campaign talk. Supply wagons, logistics, battle plans. Extermination. Talk thatll make the montana war look like aunt dinahs quilting party. Tally sheets, numbers. South pasture, sunk creek, hannigan flat. I wonder if you know what these numbers mean to me. I came here with almost nothing. 100, a winchester, and windbroke horse, thats all. I fought arapahos and cheyennes. Blizzards, texas fever. I cleared land, trapped varmints. I built my first house on this spot with two hands and a dull ax. Nearly starved to death for two winters running. Nothing to eat but. Snowshoe rabbit, chicken mash. Got snakebit. Lived through that, too. I fought it out, and i won. Now ive got these numbers. 15,000 head on open range. Last year, thieves took 7 . This year, maybe 10. 28 homesteads by the river in the last six months. With preemptions and tree claims, thats. Maybe 26. And before you know it, were cut off from the water. Jubal tatum multiplied by 1,000 is an army. Marching down on me, and i have no choice but to fight back thats what i wanted to tell you. Drink your brandy. Theres got to be another way. Name one. Cass way is murder, slaughter. Thats not you, judge, the way you believe. Its the law of the range, to the letter. Want me to show you the section, the paragraph . Codicil a to j. Then the law legalizes murder. Nowhere in those books will you find the term legalized murder. But you will find the term legalized and instantaneous execution to be administered to horse and cattle thieves. Im checkin a cut fence, when i got a feeling somebodys behind me. I turn around, and there was the swede. I dont know how he got there. A stock detective will do a trick like that sometimes just to be funny. Said nothing about what he was up to, huh . Never does. You know the swede. What was he carryin on his packhorse . I dont know. Grub mostly. How much . Look, boss man, how the two days . Three . Two weeks . How much . Maybe two weeks. Like a base up there now. Wonder why. How do i know why . Well, you bunked with him in the line shack. You had a lot of time to sit around talkin, didnt you . Not a lot. He was tired. He went to sleep right after supper. Horse throwed his shoe on him. It was lame. He made the rest of the stretch afoot. I dont know why youre frettin yourself about swede. He aint gonna change anything. Gone too far for that. You see a cyclone comin, the sensible thing is sup up and go into town. Thats the sensible thing to do. moos its been a while since you ate, aint it . Wheres your mommy . cocks gun what do you want . Thought swede torgerson was bunkin here. I got some business with him. Man get himself shot that way. Since its my own line shack, i didnt figure i couldnt go in. You from shallow ranch . Foreman. Oh. The virginian. releases hammer mustve rode all night. I did. Figured nobodys mind if i used his shack while i run my traps along the creek. You want some breakfast . No time. What about the swede . He was here about two weeks ago when i first come by. Took out the next morning. Did he say where he was going . Yeah. Horse was lamed up. Had to have him shot. Youd better have some breakfast. You rode all night. You need it. He say he was gonna have his horse shot . Yeah. He took off down the east side towards powder river. Thats when i moved in. Is there a horseshoer down at benteen, do you know . I believe so. If torgerson comes by, you tell him to get down to shiloh home ranch and spur all the way. You got that . Trouble . Plenty. Long ride on an empty belly. Thanks. bell ringing, cows mooing what do you want . Horse throwed a shoe. Can you put one on for me . How quick do you want it . Right away. All right. The off forefoot. Whoa. Aint walked far since he throwed it. Hoof aint worn. Well, he was favorin it. Wont have to trim it. Ill have the new one on in ten minutes. Fine. From texas, huh . And the drift . Split it with my partner. Lookin around for a place to lie. He mightve been through here. They call him the swede. Talk with an accent . Thats right. Thickset, about 40, ride a clayback gelding . Thats him. He been through here . About two weeks ago. But his horse was lamed up, too. That so . Took off up alder creek somewhere. That so . Be a dollar. Much obliged. Swede swede torgerson horse neighs neighs neighing why . The only opposition weve got is right here in this county. Outside of that, theyre with us to a man. Cheyenne tribune, day before yesterday. Wipe them out. All honest citizens are in the hopes the cattlemen will exterminate the rustlers. Theyll join ranks all the way from here to washington, d. C. The minute we move. They respect you. You go along, there wont be a voice raised against us. In a military campaign, you wait an hour past your time, you might get licked. horse neighs where you been . Powder river. Whats the swede say . Been dead around two weeks. I got whats left of him outside. Shot . Thats right. You better tell that army outside to go home, major cass. Bushwhackin the homesteaders aint gonna fix anything. This is no bushwhacking operation. The troubles on the other side of the hill. Rustler gang workin wholesale out of benteen. 30 or 40 heads still in the corral when i got there. Are you trying to say that we dont know you asked me what happened to 7 of your cattle, and im tellin you. You read the swedes report. He changed his mind about that. You mean tatum says he did how long are you gonna let this strutting napoleon trade on your name . when all hes after is glory why dont you admit it, major cass . You ran out of wars since the wounded knee fight. No more indians to slaughter, no more cavalry charges, no more wars, so you gotta make one you shut your insolent mouth. Im sorry to see a good man broke, judge. Thats whats gonna happen to you now youre gonna break because you wont bend. Arapahos had to bend when you came here or get broke. And now with the nesters comin, youll have to bend, too. You cant fight it with guns or with lynchings or hangings or barnburnings or anything else. Its comin, and youre gonna have to bend with it, whether its right, wrong, black, white, or somethin in between. Im sorry, judge. How much more time do you want to think . Where you goin with the arsenal . You, uhyou aint gonna do nothin silly, now, are you . A mans got a wild streak inside him, itll come out sooner or later. Oh, wait a minute. We can where im goin is none of your business. You aint gonna hole up with jubal tatum. You do that, youre gonna get yourself killed. Maybe not. Youre gonna die with a cow thief . Who says hes a cow thief . Well, the swede said. The swede cleared him, and cass is a lunatic. But whether jubals innocent or guilty has got nothin to do with it. Cass methods are still wrong. It isnt only jubal. Its a whole a whole prairie fire, and youre downwind. Cant you see that . Youd better get on outside with the others. Youll be called to colors any minute now. Will you wait a minute . Dont look at me. Im not gonna get my hide nailed to jubal tatums barn. No, sir. inaudible muffled voices door closes whispers come here. Can i talk to you . Sure. So, he saw some cattle up at benteen. Our cattle im sure of that. But you know as well as i do how the cattle got up to benteen. The nesters took them there. You got swede torgersons report. He said it was the nesters, and the rest of the stock detectives said the same thing. The only thing this information on benteen tells us is where the nesters are taking some of our cattle. It doesnt change the fact that they stole them in the first place. Are you with us, judge . You know how much Everyone Wants you. But we cant wait any longer. Major, i agree with everything youre trying to do. This cattle thieving has to be stopped, or itll destroy every rancher in the valley. But i dont like the way youre going about it. But we have no other choice youre talking army talk, campaign talk, logistics, battle plans. You want to stop the cattle thieving or exterminate these people . Which is it . I dont want to exterminate anyone. Thats just the reason why ive organized the men like an army, why ive planned this thing like a campaign. I want those nesters to be faced with such odds that they wont even think of fighting back. Believe me, judge, i saw enough bloodshed in my army career to last me forever. Theres only one thing i want to do thats to stop the rustling. And to do that, we have to clear this valley of those nesters. Well handle them one at a time. Well give them every opportunity to leave the valley on the condition that they dont return. With odds of 100 to one against them, im betting thats just what theyll do. No. Some of them wont leave. Theyre human beings. They put blood and sweat into these miserable little homesteads. Theyll fight. This can turn into a bloodier war than montana. I hope not. I hope youre wrong. But if thats what happens, then its nothing we decided. If we give them a chance to leave and they choose to stay and fight, they also choose to face the consequences. It wont be on our conscience. Im afraid it would be on mine. Judge, either we drive them out now or they drive us out. What else can we do . I dont know. Maybe the answer is. To bend. Thats no answer for me. All right, we wont count on you. Its too late to change the plan of action. The men are meeting here, and neither you or i can do anything to change that now. nicky barking jubal, its me what do you want . Wheres melissa and the boy . Theyre in town with friends. What do you want . I figured you could use a handyman. I dont need a handyman. Well, you got one anyway. Who else you got inside there . Nobody. Youre fixin to fight it out alone . I told skelly i wouldnt have it any other way. I got my reasons. And that goes for you, too. I dont need your help. You go on down with skelly. Hes next on that list. Youre a hard man to figure, jubal. I see youve been workin. Theyll fire the house first. No way you can stop that. Youd better write yours, too. I dont have much to leave. Youre dead set on staying . Thats a way of putting it. Well, i expect id better get this set while theres still time. Im. Proud to call you my friend. Youd better get ready. Hey, mount up now, men. Before we go, i want you to clearly understand why. This valley, this town is in the hands of thieves, outlaws, killers. Theres only one way out, and were gonna take it got half a bottle of whiskey left. Better save it. We might need it later. Maybe thats why im pestering you to leave. Maybe i want it all to myself. You ever think of that . Anybody ever tell you you are loco . Several have, yeah. You wont make a nickels worth of difference, you know. Twos no better than one if they fire the house. You dont owe me a thing. Everything you did has been long since paid for. That dont have too much to do with it, jubal. What do you mean . If i gotta spell it out for you, youll never know. Spell it out. Theres a wrong, you fight it. If you dont, you become part of it. That aint so hard to understand, is it . You better check and see if theyre comin. Ah, we dont have to worry about that. The dog will let us know when they get here. groans well, heres to nothin. And theres a bomb underneath us. A bomb. The fuse is burning down close, and its getting closer. If we let it blow, theres gonna be nobody left here. You cant stomp it out. You cant sit idly by in the hopes itll be a nice, quiet little explosion where nobody gets hurt. You cant make peace with a bomb. Youve got to grab it, youve got to rip it out and destroy it now, either you rip out every last one of these miserable maverickin cow thieves from one end of the valley to the other, or you die always liked whiskey better than i should. Had to hold back considerable. Now theres no reason to hold back, and i only got a half a bottle in the house. Heh. Thats the way my luck goes. Why do you suppose things go so right for some people, wrong for others . You reckon its in the stars . I dont know. Tough on a woman. Whats that . Oh, bettin on a loser. 15 years of it. Illinois, utah, california. Now here. Heh. Sweat, hard work, hunger sometimes, and movin on with high hopes, more sweat, and less money in the bank. Its hard enough on a single man, but. When you got a woman and boy lookin up to you for everything. It aint easy to fail. A lot of people think it is, but. It aint. You sure you dont want some . No, thats all right. Go ahead. You know, when i first came here, i swore to god almighty id die before i failed again. One night out in the pasture i got down on my knees and i swore it. Things went pretty good for a while, too. Had a good calf crop that first year. And the second winter, the blizzard hit us, and. Come spring, i found my whole herd under ten feet of snow. Nothin left. Hmm. Losin again. Well, this is the last of it. You, me, and. The army of vengeance. Its no good chewin on it, jubal. You dont want to fight alongside a loser, too, do you . I dont want to fight alongside a quitter. I aint a quitter. Im gonna fight here, and im gonna die. Theres nothin else for me to do. Im elected martyr. I didnt ask for it, but i got it. Id have been better off if youd let them hang me. I dont follow you. Get out of here while theres still time. Sorry, jubal. Im here to stay. You shouldve let them hang me, mister, because that wouldve been right. You want a firstclass reason . All right, ill give you one. Thisll get you out of here. Blotching irons, running irons, hot wires for changing marks, hair knives. I told you i swore i wouldnt lose again. I was at alder creek with 50 head of judge garths best steers when torgerson caught me dead to rights. Thats just my luck. I make off with 200 head of cattle, and i get caught branding my own calf. tools clang if it hadnt have been for that calf, i look, i dont want my wife or boy to know. Or the rest of them along the creek. Theyll brand a maverick now and then, but aint none of them rustlers. All i can do now is die. Itd be the only clean thing i did in 43 years of livin. Now, you want to help me . Leave me here alone. Let me finish that bottle of whiskey by myself. nicky barking go on out the back door. Theres still time. Look, major cass was right. You cant stay here and get yourself killed well, i cant turn my back on you, either. If i walk out on you now, itll be open season on 28 families between here and the head of the creek. If i tell the truth, cass will tar every one of you with the same brush. They dont have much chance now. If this comes out, they wont have any. You want to send me to hell with two men on my conscience . No. Four. nicky barking climb right back up and keep ridin. That aint very hospitable. I mean it this isnt your dough, and its all mine. Not only not hospitable. Its downright mean. Hardly worth gettin shot up for. Go on. Hyah you walked away from us, boss man. The powers gone. Youre just a miserable human like the rest of us. I gave you both an order. Its not that were gonna disobey that order. Its just that were not gonna obey it. If i get myself killed today, ill never forgive you. Think, now. Its important. I want to know exactly what he said. Hes gonna stand by mr. Tatum right through to the end. He said that to steve . Yes, daddy, thats exactly what he said. nicky barking trampas well, looks like the odds are about even. When i give the order, put the torch to that wagon. Tatum im ordering you to leave this valley you have 30 seconds to get started ill guarantee your safety dont think you can fight us there are too many of us, and well start by burning you out you go out there with your hands up, they may let you live. Jubal. Youre gonna stay here while they fire the house . Jubal, shut up. I dont know what theyre doing. Trampas, steve, listen to me. I jubal, i said shut up, and i meant it all right, spread out along this line bring the wagon down here all right, men dismount turn that team to the rear. You see the judge . No. Stay behind. Ill give you ten seconds to come out. Or well burn you out one, two, three. Four, five. Six, seven. Eight, nine. Ten all right, fire the wagon get ready to push her down on my command. Hold it. Youre no longer in command here, major. The campaign is over, gentlemen. Put up your guns, return to your ranches. Now, you listen to me, all of you im in command here now, you listen to me i said, put up your guns youre gonna start this war, youll have to kill me first. Youll take orders from me you understand that . My mistake was in letting it go this far without talking up sooner. Im admitting it now to all of you. Cass all of you listen to me weve got a job to do, and theres only one way to do it its them or us them or us are you gonna stand there and take it . You gonna give every sodbuster in this valley the license to steal . no matter what that man inside has done, what were doing is wrong now, i know you. I know all of you. Ive prospered with you, shared your failures with you. Ive got the right. To keep you from doing something youll regret this isnt the way cass no, theres no other way and youre a fool if you listen to him all you men who are on my side, line up over here you stop it thats an order does not one of you knows whats good for you what youre doing . All i ask is whats good for you mckeever brent harrigan you cutthroats whats the matter . You afraid to come in and get me . Huh . no. Ohh. Easy. sighs groaning i didnt i didnt fail this time, did i . No, you didnt, jubal. You won. You won big. Wheres his family . In town with some friends of his. The mcclintocks. Ill take care of em. theme music playing 9 the lone ranger hiho silver a fiery horse with the speed of light, a cloud of dust, and a hearty hiho silver the lone ranger watch out, hes got a gun no, dont let me go what is it, hanley . Butch cavendish, warden. Someone must have sneaked him a gun. I was just letting him out for exercise period when he pulled it on me. Butch cavendish is the last one id want to escape. Tell the guards to shoot him on sight. I cant. Why not . Your son johnny was on his way up here to see you just as butch broke out. He grabbed hold of him; hes got a gun on him now. Johnny whats cavendish doing to him . Nothing yet. He says he wants to talk to you. I think hes got some kind of a proposition. Tell him to come in. Yes sir. Here he is, warden. Im sorry, dad. He grabbed me when i wasnt looking. Thats alright, son. Let him go, cavendish. Im giving the orders here now, warden. Youll never get out of here alive well if i dont, your kid wont either. Ill use this gun on him, and you know i mean it. Whats your deal . Im taking him out of her with me. Youll get him back safe and sound on one condition that you let the rest of my gang go free. Dont do it, dad i couldnt do that if i wanted to, cavendish. Your men arent here now. Theyre out to the prison farm. I know that, but you let them go free and they get back they can meet me at one of my old hideouts. How will they know which one . Dont worry, they will. If theyre not there by noon wednesday youll never see this kid again. Youll never make it. Your guards wont shoot. They know how crazy you are about junior here. Come on, you. Ill get that cowardly rat. Dont lose your head, warden, hell kill johnny for sure. Theyre letting him out alright. They dont want to risk hurting the boy. What can i do hanley . Youve got no choice, warden. Its the cavendish gang or johnnys life. Let those outlaws free to harm innocent people . No, hanley, i cant do that but warden. Johnny well have to find some other way to save him. But how . Nobody but the cavendish gang knows where those hideouts are, and theyll never talk. Theres someone else who knows the man who captured the cavendish gang years ago. The lone ranger if we could only get word to him. Oh, thats impossible, warden. No one ever knows where he is. Whenever a crime is committed, he knows somehow. He finds out. If he could only learn about this before its too late. Youre back eary, tonto. Where are the supplies . Me not get them. No time for food now. Whats happened . Word come through to town Butch Cavendish break jail. Cavendish . Our worst enemy. Him take wardens son as hostage hold him at one of old hideouts. He say him kill boy if cavendish gang not free by noon wednesday. I know the warden is much too honest to release those outlaws even if the boys life is at stake. We ride fast, maybe still time to save him. Not a chance, tonto. Cavendish had too many hideouts. He could be holding the boy at any one of them. We dont have time to check them all. If we split up we cover more ground. Yes, but thats trusting too much to luck. What we do then . You ride to cavendishs closest hideout. If he isnt there go on to the next one. Maybe youll reach him before i do. But where you go . To the prison, tonto. Thats the only sure way i can think of to find Butch Cavendish. But what you suggest. I dont know. I realize its risky, warden, but its better than letting johnny die. Besides, you wont be freeing the whole gang. Just one man. But one is as bad as all besides, this dooley is no fool, you know. What makes you so sure that he leads you to where cavendish is . Ill try not to let him know im following him. But if you get to the hideout, its two against one. Its bad enough having cavendish at large without letting his chief henchman go too. Youve got to do it, warden. Not only for johnnys sake, but we must get cavendish back again. Alright. Wel risk it. You better wait in the closet. You can bring dooley in now, hanley. Dooley, im asking you for the last time where is cavendish hiding out with my boy . I wouldnt know but if i were to let you loose, you would know. Is that it . I might. Alright, dooley, you win. Im gonna let you go. What about the rest of the gang . One at a time. Im not gonna let you out in a group to raid the territory. Alright warden. Thats good enough for me. One at a time. But get this straight if any harm comes to my boy, you and cavendish are gonna have your necks stretched. Understand . Sure warden, sure. I get it. Alright then. On your way. Not so fast. You must think im an awful fool. What do you mean . I know what your game is. Its a trap to catch cavendish. Five minutes after im out of here half the guards in this place will be on my trail. I give you my word of honor that no guard will follow you out of this prison. And what difference will it make if they did . I know where im going. They dont. I could lose a thousand guards by the time i reach cavendish. Now, you still want to let me go . I want to save my boy at any price. Ok warden, ill go. But on my terms. I aint trekking around the country in this outfit. I want new clothes, a horse, and a gun with bullets just in case someone should try to follow me. Take him out and give him what he wants, then let him go. Thanks warden, you sure do treat us prisoners nice. Hes a tough customer, warden. I hope ive done the right thing. But if he gets away for good, ill have betrayed the honest people who put me in this job. Dont worry ill pick up his trail as soon as he leaves. But i dont trust him. Hes liable to lead you on a wild goose chase. I dont think so. Dooleys too sure of himself. But weve only got until noon wednesday. Suppose dooley doesnt get to cavendish by then. Youve forgotten, warden, im not your only hope. Tonto is also looking for cavendish too. Hes had time to reach some of his hideouts by now. For all we know, hes already rescued johnny. If i could only believe that. You know kid, i was loco not to think of this idea before. Now i dont have to watch both doors at once. What are you doing now . Just making sure that nobody takes up by surprise. They try that door over there theyre going to get an awful headache. They try this one, theyre going to get a bullet in the belly. You cant scare dad into letting your gang go free. Hell never do it. He will if he ever wants to see you again. Well i guess i wont be needing these anymore. Dad would be cheating the people who trust him if he let those crooks out of jail. I wouldnt want him to do it even if he could. Shut up you yap too much. Well i thought you was never coming out of it, injun. Say, where is that masked man you used to work with . Me not know. Dont lie to me where is he . Well ive got other ways of making you talk no wait, me tel him in town. Him have business there. Me not know where him is now; that truth. Eh, i wonder if i can believe that. Probably not. Im gonna go outside and take a look around, just in case. And dont you worry kid; ill be back to take care of you. Times running fast do not be frightened; there is still hope. Dont try to fool me, indian. We dont have one chance in a million. Who are you anyway . Me tonto. Your friend. You not forget one chance in million better than none. Im sorry you risked your life to save me. Now were both gonna die. You give up plenty easy. We not dead yet. Were as good as dead. I wish hed do it now and get it over with. What if someone on way to rescue us . Who . Nobody can find us here. Friend of tonto maybe find us. You mean. The masked man cavendish was talking about . That right. Oh, whats the use . Even if he did get here in time, hed be trapped same as you. You not be too sure. Him never say die. You mean. You really think theres a chance for us . There always chance if you not give up. Well injun, i guess you wasnt lying. Theres no sign of that masked man. Sure hope you boys wasnt lonesome. Were doing alright. Well im glad to hear that. cause theres nothing like spending what time you got left being happy. And you havent got much. Well, reckon i better set my little trap again just in case that masked man comes snooping around. Effie, aint you found them plum preserves yet . Here they are they wer behind the pickled cucumbers. Ah good. Ill wrap the preserves and well leave as soon as youre ready dear. Landagoshes, who can that be . Why its some poor man who looks half starved. Come in stranger, and rest a spell. Thank you, maam. This is right kind of ya. Oh, nothing like being friendly we always say. We were just going to take some vittles to a poor sick neighbor. Do you come from these parts . No maam, ive been traveling a long way. Oh, you sure look it. Would you like some nice hot soup . To warm your innards . Well no maam im awful sorry to bust in on ya like this but i just had to hide somewhere. Hide . Wwwho from . Well i had a suspicion for the last couple of hours that ive been followed by a bandit. A bandit, effie. Oh how awful thats right maam, a man wearing a mask. He was probably after my hard earned wages. Oh, id like Nothing Better than to get that ornery skunk. And ill kill him, too, if you ladies will help me. Us . Help you catch a bandit . Ddo you think we could . You just tell us what to do, mister, and well do anything you say. Oh, good. Now look, ill pretend to ride away from here. Now its my hunch that that masked man comes knocking at that door, try to find out if i left my money with you. Dont you worry mister, well get rid of him somehow. But i dont want you to. You gotta find some excuse to keep him here. And ill circle around the back and sneak in the door over there and well catch him red handed. I think thats a lovely plan. You can count on us mister. Well keep him here somehow. Thats fine ladies. Well, ill go now. Believe me, the laws going to be mighty greatful to you for helping to catch this bandit. It is a masked man, just like he said. And hes coming right toward us. I beg your pardon. Oh, effie, we have a visitor. Do come in. Oh thank you. Do you always welcome masked men with such open arms . Why shouldnt we . You have an honest chin. Besides, we always say its a mans own business to choose what he wants to wear. I wish more people thought that way. The reason im here. Oh effie, the man looks hungry. Offer him some soup. Thank you very much. Id like to stay but i havent time. You see im trailing a man who just stopped here. I thought he might have harmed you. That nice man . He wouldnt harm a fly. Im afraid he would, maam. He happens to be an escaped convict. Oh he couldnt be. Why all he wanted was some food for his journey. Did he drop a hint as to where he was headed . Not a word, mister, and were not the ones to pry. Then i better be after him, fast. Oh, before you leave. Im sorry, i really cant stay. Oh yes you can. Reach. Drop them guns. Easy. Oh thank goodness you got back. We were afraid we couldnt hold him for you. You done fine ladies, just fine. Youre even lower than i thought you were dooley taking advantage of two helpless women. I take my advantages where i find them. Now turn around. Come on. Ive been itching to do this for years. Oh mr. Dooley, you had no right to strike him. It wasnt hurting you. Shut up, he thought he could trail me to the hideout. Now get in that closet, both of you. In the closet . Thats what i said, unless you wanna stay here while i blow his brains out. Oh, effie, the masked man was telling us the truth. We trapped the wrong outlaw. You sure have and by the time you two old beetle beaks are out of that closet ill be with my pal cavendish and that hombre will be dead. Dont kill him in cold blood. Come on, quit your stalling and get in there. You too. Oh, my soup. My soup is boiling. Whatever will i do with it . I dont care what you do with it so long as you get rid of it, now come on. Whatever you say, mister call us beetle beaks, will you . Take it easy. Its fine now, thanks to you both. You keep looking at that clock. Is there anything the matter . That boy i was telling you about, we dont have much time. Dooley, im asking you for the last time, where is cavendish holding johnny . Why dont you let me go and follow me . I know youd never lead me there now. Are you gonna let that innocent boy die . That wardens kid dont mean a thing to me. Ive never seen a meaner man. Maybe if you give him a few jabs with this hes be more gossipy. No thanks, i dont believe in torture. There must be some other way to make him talk. Supposing i did talk, how would you know whether i was telling the truth or lying . Thats easy. Whenever effie tells a lie, she blushes. Oh elsie, hush you do wait a minute ladies, youve just given me an idea. Lots of people blush when they tell lies. Its their hearts that give them away. They pump the blood faster. Mister, i aint the blushing kind. You dont have to be, dooley, to give yourself away. I see what you mean his pulse thats right, maam. Oh do let us help you. Its a long chance ladies, but it may work you keep your fingers on his pulse while i question him. Youre a fool if you think im gonna tell you what hideout hes at; im saying no to everything. Go ahead mister, were ready. Wheres cavendish hiding . Silver canyon . No. Twin forks . No. Eagle pass . No. Dead mans gulch . No. Try him again on that one, mister. Dead mans gulch . I said no oh my, yes, thats the one. It must be his pulse is racing like a house on fire. Its worth a try ladies, but dead mans gulch is a long ride from here. Take the shortcut, over willow bridge. Much quicker. I only hope i can make it in time. You ladies keep this outlaw tied up until i get back. Youve both been a big help. Thanks. Oh, what a nice man. And just think, effie, weve captured a real life outlaw. Oh, this is the most exciting time weve had since grandpa won the horse shoe pitching contest. Hey pull up there you sure in a fine hurry, mister. Whats the idea of the roadblock . Whats the idea of the mask . This mask means the same to me as a badge of office means to a law man. Why s the road closed . Bridge aint there no more. River washed it away last night. Is there any other way across . Not a chance. Look mister, ive got to get to dead mans gulch by twelve noon. If i dont a boy is going to die. There must be some other way across the river. Well why didnt you say so . Follow the stream up here to eagle pass. The rivers not to deep; maybe you and your horse can swim across. Thanks a lot dead mans gulch at 12 noon. Ha ha that darn fool wont come anywhere near making it. I never figured that a father could care so little for a son. My gang should have been here by now. I told you he wouldnt let them go. And i told you id kill you if he didnt. I reckon we both meant it. How much time . One minute. Still doing alright, kid . You not forget what i tell you. You never say die. Thats good advice injun. Too bad you cant take it. Ill never give up, cavendish, not even after you pull the trigger. You die hard, kid with less than a minute to live and both doors tricked up so nobody can break in and you still figure theres a chance somebody might save you. Oh, i get it. The masked man. Still thinking about him, huh . Hes gonna pull a miracle, sneak in just in the nick of time. Him come if him can. From out of nowhere i suppose. Thats right, from out of nowhere. Youre too late, injun. Youve been dreaming up fairy tales. I just hope the kid here didnt believe you. Because this one time theyre not coming true. Your times up, injun. Im gonna let you have it first. And theres no masked man standing by to save you. Alright, cavendish, ill take that other gun. Caught in his own trap. Gee, tonto, you were right. He came from out of nowhere. And then, he kicked the door open, and cavendish fired, and then the ranger jumped him and knocked him all over the place. Im afriad jonnhys exaggerating, warden. That mr. Cavendish sounds just as bad our mr. Dooley. That horrible man. And when i think of how we trusted him. The importnt thing is that cavendish and dooley are back in prison. Neither of them can hurt anybody again. The most important thing to me is that you saved my boys life. And for that i can never repay you. We not work for pay. We work for justice. Hes right, warden. And Justice Needs no pay. Well tonto, its time to go. If you ladies would like, well put you in your carriage. Oh what a nice man, and so polite. You sure you wont let us take just a peek under that mask . Its not his face that matters, its his character. And hes just oozing with that. You ladies have a good deal of character yourselves. So long, johnny. Goodbye. Bye warden. Byebye. Gee dad, ive never met a man like him before. Thats because hes one in a million. Hes the lone ranger. Hiho silver, away uu the lone ranger a firy horse, with the speed of light a cloud of dust and a hearty hiho silver. We must have taken a wrong turn. Look up there. Its a head wall. No patches through here. Hey, wheres collins . The roy rogers show starring roy rogers. King of the cowboys. Trigger, his golden palomino. And dale evans, queen of the west. With pat brady, his comical sidekick, and roys wonderdog, bullet. Hows the new bottle washer coming on .
