Welcome back to the Johnny Mathis Show of hope everybody Saturday is off to a great start but he would be up a little contributor Tyrone keys in studio along with Townsend Professor Rick Betts professor of rhetoric and author of the only authentic book of persuasion soon to be published by McGraw Hill and I have been told the state surgeon burgeon is scheduled to join us they don't have Senate isn't in session that I know the houses Annapolis I'm not sure you should be here soon if not no loss if he's not here which fashion. Seems to be. We have a plan I have a point I have no problem speaking of plans looks like we are going to do the show it looks like still getting 100 percent confirmation on this but we're into this year life from Churchill Downs for the Kentucky Derby this year again we were out there last year and I came up with this brilliant idea of possibly flying myself out to Kentucky because I have done a really you know just got my license back a year and a half ago and the closest thing to a real trip that I've done was speaking horse racing I flew up to Saratoga Springs for the Traverse when American fare was running and it was about a 2 hour trip so during the break here I was just want to describe after dark walking the trip has it 5 and a half hours in a small plane that seems seems long I know when I ever fly and they keep it down is that yeah I just flew in from Chicago but arms are so tired that's what you can do when you have a jet on standby right Professor course that way satellites and on your way that's what that's what you will get your Tyrus I thought that well we don't think. That's an expensive trip. That would be fun oh so do you does a plane have the range to do 5 hours I have to make one stop I have to make one stop you go you stop stretch your legs it might be I think doable or start saving now this could be some grant or government program for underprivileged am talk show host I want to fly out to the Kentucky Derby where you. Don't know how many votes. You want to something check with the police chief he had a plane flying around maybe if you can like do sad to say he's on the way down maybe Kevin Davis can lend me the Cessna 172 or the 182 the guy going to Mars I can run some surveillance of the claim to the Lexington through the show fly back we can do some data mining in the process so it's like yeah for government surveillance right yeah saying talk it through every problem has a solution you just have to figure it out get some of the money that they're going to spend on addiction services I am very conscious of my directions. And. I do work on these addictions for years I write about I said here to Banda Malveaux part of addiction finally got it Rafah you have experiences could be to be to redefine some addictions as good and therefore I will have to be encouraged I will give you ample time to grind your axe right. Ample time for one of your 67 w.p.a. Alex out the sand and always mills then Sam thank you for what my friend how you don't want any more about you know this you know. And. All that. It's. All really. Really Came out what. You're basing this melding of. Revolution. And now about what they think as either one thought up playing like a baby they remake them every day you know I think that's when I said I think that's where this is happening and Stephen I've talked about this pretty pretty excessively over the years where you're going to fall one way or the other due to faulty inflation default by just simply walking away from the debt and guys one of the ways to walk away from the debt is the real issue of currency or going to a cashless society inflated out of the sure you know I've seen something like that and then know people think it's all. About whether people on political level wells like place like. Units use and yes well we own you know you know I don't you know what I mean let's you that. Well without collapsing. You know says well if you think San thank you for the phone call my father used to say the 1st that I'm getting in a hole is you stop taking So the 1st way you approach this is through attrition I believe the government has made a lot of bad deals but they're still deals that had been cottagers in a way to honor those deals you should honor the deal that you have struck so the 1st thing you do is you start through attrition and you start negotiating better deals moving forward 2nd of all there are examples there are real world examples of how other countries are getting with as you look at Cyprus where they were literally seizing bank deposits Sam brings up the Soviet Union we break the u.s.s.r. We bankrupted them. So make no mistake on how serious this issue is right now why is $100.00 worth $100.00 because we collectively agree that there is a perceived value behind it in today's just a piece of paper what we have going force right now is the full faith and credit of the United States once that becomes worthless this entire thing falls apart so I believe you start with attrition you have to change the mindset of Americans and you have to start redefining what is a right and what is a guarantee unfortunately health care education food housing not guaranteed rights from. It budget cuts transportation Commerce education each h.s. Interior adds to the military it's Tell me tell me where politicians ever lose by adding expenditures by government and that that's a good point because there's no will out there to really take a look at our debt and deficits and really honestly attack it Trump is being raked over the coals because he wants to cut a lot of the fat out including the National Endowment of the arts public t.v. Look you know these are luxuries and when you have your own personal budget if you fall on hard times and you owe a lot of debt maybe cable t.v. Has to go but it also comes back to role of government and what is the responsibility specifically of the federal government is it the responsibility of the federal government to pay. For state roads and state or city schools one of the take on the responsibility the facts and this is this is this is why you have the VOs secretary who's going to be secretary of education I mean the all of these things that are assumed by tradition if you part of the federal government's responsibility I don't mean to cut you off or you call it tradition I call indoctrination Well they're not mutually exclusive when it becomes a tradition you are indoctrinated and people stop thinking about it and I think that I think that this is this is a major a major clash that we're going to have of the next 3 years perhaps of the next 8 years and I tell but the tell me tell me and this is kind of a rhetorical question because neither of you are guesses tell me where Democrats ever lose by supporting more government spending in till you have a credit is not exclusive to the Democrats it's easy to say oh for Barack Obama George Bush is one of the brightest abusers when it comes to federal spending and also the expansion of the federal government and now with another Republican president we're seeing we're seeing it with Donald Trump what's he out there he's campaigning on a trillion dollars in infrastructure spending. Yes ran on getting rid of common core state of OS pretty much radio silent on that and if anything doubling down on it right now there is no honest meaningful will there to scale back the role of the party of education when it comes to education at the state and city level so the thing continues forget the rhetoric for a 2nd again the rhetoric does not beat reality Republicans run on getting rid of bureaucracy then they double down on it education is an example of this the e.p.a. Infrastructure spending could go on and on the Affordable Care Act repeal the network of people in the Affordable Care Act Every time you have and which is which is opposed by and I understand that it was in part because it wasn't part of the foreign policy crisis going through with Korea but. Every time you have every time you have push back the Democrats or or reap or supporters of the spending bring out the single person who out of 400000000 people who will be devastated by this and people say we got to has then you cannot allow this individual to suffer and as long as long as you do that if you're if your threshold is one human being who needs the money then there's no argument against ever cutting spending and there are sad stories all over the place all over you will never ever exhaust exhaust bad example but it doesn't fester advanced by room keys on demand this week break we'll be right back you are listening to the Jimmy Mathis Show one news radio 1090 Monday the confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Neal Gorsuch get under way Stay right here for the latest updates and developments every story line every angle expect more from w.p.a. Bus Number 304 not a lot of blood equals you wonder yourself play see and hear the numbers on the home the continuing resolution coming up right now is a 6 month extension right now Congress will be dealing with increasing the debt ceiling at the same time that Donald Trump is trying to get a Supreme Court justice confirmed for one of 467 w.p.a. Altay room keys along with Professor Rick that in studio let's go to Ed impact in Ed Ed thank you for holding how you don't start your own We're at. Now I'm sorry I apologize John you're on the air and I'll get to you know one second so many buttons a little green lights flashing is very confusing John you're on the air you Don. Good. You know in a nutshell the big difference you know I don't care. If we get the. Truck we said to try. To give you a trillion dollar budget and we want you to double it and that's the bottom line Trump goes out here and I think hurt his own infrastructure because there are $60000.00 jobs. But but I really don't care what Trump does because he's already established that he can take a 1000000 turn in the 10000000000 so I want him to take our trillion and turned into 10 trillion and that's what he's going to do. We need to do is we need to get the public sector into those projects because not not as says playing in the mud but running the show because there's a whole different set of motives where the private sector who can play it can't print money. You know can't borrow 20 trillion so they have to make things happen within a budget and that's the big difference because once that occur and he gets cranked up then the free condoms won't be such a big deal. The you know the Meals on Wheels won't be such a big deal it's only when everybody's starving to death and then we're taking the money over there and that's a big thing about Trump I like the guy you know like the trouble of anybody trying to get a successful like Trump also it's not a shot against Donald Trump I just 2 things here John a I don't believe that you can spend your way into prosperity 2nd of all in a country where we have 20 trillion dollar annual g.d.p. I don't believe a trillion dollars over 10 years is going to have any meaningful impact into our economy which means we're now just building a trillion dollars into baseline spending at the end of the day is going to have little to no effect I mean this is really really want to travel down if you want to tell you my point was it turns out in the 10 trillion. Go ahead and do I need our. You know they find that I don't believe that and they're not qualified to even make that decision because I don't think he's done what he's done so he's already done it so those the people I'm hearing aren't qualified to make these decisions we finally have someone who has a track record of taking a 1000000 turn into 20 say I don't believe going to look I don't I don't believe that this is that complicated John I appreciate the phone call and I will I will hear your criticism I don't believe you can spend your way into prosperity I don't believe that and I don't while. Well that's fine you can argue you can artificially right if you're late markets when you're swinging the biggest bat on the planet no question about it and we have done it with quantitative easing whether it's the bond buying program on Wall Street we have done it in real estate recently by artificially keeping interest rates low we can do massive transfers of wealth from one generation to the next but this is finance 101 normally the problem is it revenue expenditures and what you have right now is a president that has these infrastructure programs you want to go back to. The interstate highway system under Eisenhower got to have at the New Deal It's actually Jimmy you have the phrase wrong look at races tax your way into prosperity you're right you cannot tax your way into prosperity how would you work out for a body Senator you know what jump started the economy I'm not about this I'm not talking about some of the social things that lasted for a while returned by the Supreme Court I'm talking about things like the Civilian Conservation Corps and other things that kept people treading water until World War 2 came into play one of them and I jump started the I know one of the biggest lies out there is they're going to introduce bigamy there's one day after the news I you know do you know who you want to do whatever you want if you have just came into the studio and you're got to comb his hair then I think today I'm going to I'm going to be senator broaching one of the biggest false words out there is the economy recovery as a result of war to end up with a new deal is simply not true will we what happened we brought down regulation of was brought down the effect of tax rate and we gave the American people the ability to thrive and succeed and to be trailblazers and they did not was there some benefit coming out of war to win the war effort absolutely I'm not going to deny that but that was not the only thing that led to our national prosperity at the time some of you are totally unaware of the deficit spending that f.d.r. Did that brought about war tell you how you'll have plenty of idea what you're talking Actually I do get the guy because he's a Democrat he has no real point you look at my you know if I'd you're a business you know you're looking at the unfunded liabilities that we have right now Senator they are mainly in title ments which is a result and left over from the New Deal I understand Medicare Social Security all of these all shoot from the New Deal are you currently Are you Ok with them Are you Ok with Medicare Social Security I'm curious. But better get my now I don't want the few Republicans that saying that we should be mean means testing Social Security Ok so you say and he was Ok we'll get to you in a minute Ok you're not going to get Social Security so why aren't you getting social or pay into it but of course the way the system works I don't count on it being there for me and when I get the statement you know I get state in the mail every so often he's like the money that you know not promise but told that I might get is like you know what am I supposed to do with this and now people get so much more from Social Security and they put it in print plus interest but they think that they're getting less than they put in place and explain that I'm giving the government an interest free one when it comes to Social Security and then when I finally receive it in my sixty's I'm being taxed as income want to explain that I talk to Ronald Reagan and George Bush Sr they want to start attacking it I don't want to be talking to Reagan in the near future or say you are going to all personally can't they can make a subset of our it now it happened during their administration say well this Bush was also responsible going to point out later for some our problems in Korea but that's not the issue the issue is what to do about the problems later when he will respond who is responsible for correcting you junior. Or senior George w. Bush not senior he's a career you're talking you know what career career. Back. So it 2 or 3 administrations. Clinton. If you only go back no no no. Well he gave them a clean water nuclear reactor in exchange for them promising something and you know right now Center everyone there hide their highs long as a house and the city and the similarities between the deal the Clinton struck with the North Koreans and the deal that we have with Iran right now is I doubt that it's not a No it's an honest answer not which is not as if I repeat some 30 Time for The News 8 there is Brian even though it's also recommended someone to you who will do a great job and I need to come to you know any realtors I say Yeah the nice to your components will do a great job for you I know he will and it's even better when people come back and say he exceeded my expectations he was better than what you said he was going to be Take for instance Gordon who had his home sold just a few days after he put it on the market with Vinnie got multiple offers in which Vinnie was able to negotiate 101 percent of the list price don't we all get 101 percent less price but he's able to do this because he has over 5000 people in his exclusive database people who may want to buy a home from you right now call the studio directed 8 $1834.00 viddy he is an agent that will do you right he's looking after you and at the end of the day he's going to sell your house and he's going to get a top dollar 8 $183.00 for Vinny call him direct or go to his website Vinnie has the buyers dot com That's video he has the buyers dot com results will vary do you will the i.r.s. Morning you know there's no problem it's been going on for decades with excessive spending and budget so forth and nobody has had the nerve BUSY to try to combat. This president with these cuts it's from the discretionary spending spending of what I understand only 20 percent of the budget is discretionary spending as you just brought up and I told the your producer it's the 4th Freo nobody in Washington wants to touch Social Security and I'm not talking about putting seniors out on the street it has to be modified because the. Increase in clapping the population you will continue to let the certainly was and that's just adding billions simply answer more and kids who are born only go away I States that's that's you making welfare out of this permanent well for status. You're going to have to do something about Social Security and Medicare but especially Medicaid well as especially Medicaid right now Center what you jump in on this Medicaid right now which obviously has been where a lot of these newly insured Americans under the Affordable Care Act really have been dumped as one to the Medicaid rolls the 3rd rail of politics I don't want to fight with you on this but. Social Security Medicare federal politics that you really can't touch and one of the biggest Ledger numbers when it comes to federal spending obviously is entitlements accounts almost one 3rd of the budget where we at right now this is not a partisan issue I'm not blaming Democrats on this George Bush was just as guilty as Barack Obama but what we have politicians at the federal level what are they running right now one an expansion of Medicaid free tuition for everybody. And again a doubling down of entitlements what is already an unsustainable parent fiscally speaking so let's let's start with Social Security because you may be shocked and you and you did we probably agree on this but and I'm interested in what Tyrone and and Dr Wright said of this also but it is unfathomable that with people living into their ninety's you can get Social Security for 30 years and if anybody had any guts they would say look the amount of benefit that you're getting is fine because you're paying into it but to start getting it at 62 years old Ok is just absurd when life expectancy is 90 so it's so if anybody had any guts and I'm not running for Congress but if I was I mean the smart thing to do is you get an escalated benefit at $66.00 and then you get it and then you get a really large benefit at 70 if you pushed it for years and you got your 1st benefit you've got you've got to go to 66 going to start going to Social Security or at 60 to 62 you know I mean look look I'm 53 years old and in 9 years I would be able to it's just it doesn't make any sense just because of life expectancy it's intellectually dishonest it is he's absolutely right because we're finding that even in you know personal financial planning people are still shooting for like 65 age for retirement and what with 30 you're going to be retired for a 3rd of your life so there needs to be a mindset change across the populace that says hey something's gotta give you're going to have to save more than what you're going to but but let me says in Medicaid be because because I'm tired of listening to this from callers who are talking about the illegal so we can put draw a line in the sand today there are more people leaving this country and going back to Mexico and wherever and coming insist on trying to gain presence I don't hear anybody else calling up and starting a scrapbook actually not it is true Ok you do not have and we shouldn't. I mean I was really really take a look take a look at the last 3 months this is his 6th it is 50 percent less and more people are going south and getting out so we don't need talk about that but if you want to get in so we don't need to talk no. No it's not a non sequitur Ok it's not happening anymore Ok Go find the bogeyman somewhere else all right because but illegal immigration from solve a certain breakdown here. Close to your gets number of murders another 300 you know protests going on Senator I said so no sir no. Insisted to stick from from the Department of Homeland Security Ok it came out 2 weeks ago. And I had to hang on hang on but as far as Medicaid goes and as far as Obamacare goes and how you want to change it you have a decision to make Ok do you want and this is and this is why you know as much as as conservative as I am on changing changing aspects of Social Security and the and the change is as liberal as I'm on Medicaid where do you want people to get treated Ok I might insurance broker do you want them to get treated and their and their problems you know and their medical problems stabilized in an emergency room where the cost is 4 times as much or even under Trump do you want to take the Republican plan have a high risk poll and put people in that high risk pool and subsidize it so people could see a primary care doctor or a specialist and get an m.r.i. Done and start preventive medications so you can stop these outrageous you know dollars if you want to do that you have to keep the Medicaid levels where they are the problem is the problem is when we get into the rhetoric of the Affordable Care Act right now and we keep hearing about the 10000000 people that have insurance right now that didn't have it prior to the AC I guess but the problem with this senator is a lot of these people had coverage they lost coverage and then they were driven to the Medicaid and so it's a disingenuous argument on what you continually say but you're not telling the truth Ok if they had coverage through the emergency room. No no no no no no no no no no no no no no they had coverage through the individual marketplace you had millions of Americans that were providing insurance for themselves when they were lied to as a sales pitch of the a generation lost their car right you're right it comes back to you laid it on plans like your doctor all that they lost their health care and then they were driven on the Medicaid and what isn't covered what isn't covered you know the only thing that I have specific information about in terms of coverage is psychiatry right and everything you know you know Jenny that if you were married and you and your wife had a problem that is covered by the Affordable Care Act you know that if you see somebody get counseling about your marriage that's covered in the Affordable Care Act really ask right good doctor while Turkey when. I have a question for you is is is there deductible before that's covered Dr batts Yes there is so right you know what it's a doctor was don't show yes I do so you pay $6000.00 out of your pocket before wait before you go see a cycle of marriage counselor the cost $100.00 at the insurance company picks up $45.00 from you don't know and you know I'm not going to make this personal but you're being factually incorrect you are if you are supplying alternative facts right now I again yes you are free country is covered under the you know no you want everything you know everything is covered you were in the funny way you were implying that under the fact that under the Affordable Care Act if you're if you and your if you and your spouse are having problems you can go and have and have your marriage counselor paid for at close to a 100 percent Is that what you want a cookie cutter percent wiseguys. There are some people that don't believe in. Therapy insurance I mean some people just that's not their thing Ok you do very That's would be one of them a way that a lot of your other people that find it very helpful there's the issue that this comes back to some of that is how is this all takes to say Sue they're going to tell me this comes back to this comes back to choices why not put the power back in the hands of the consumer and if I'm someone who believes in psychology in that it's psychology and that's something that I want is part of my plan why not give me the freedom to go out and purchase a plan that isn't included Why do you want to be evaluated I mean we're not going to use it why should he be forced into that being covered under his plan it's not the longer that it wasn't covered at all this is why should a single woman a young woman have to pay for coverage that covers prostate exams Why should a young man have to pay for pap smears I mean why should you have to pay for coverage that you don't want or will never use or you're not going to have to say no and I I you know and look I'm fine with a lot of the changes but you want to talk about the biggest hole in the federal government that's costing $865000000000.00 a year it's this sellout drug plan that George Bush Jr says sold out to the pharmaceutical companies that has it I don't know yet yet it hasn't done a whole between $500.00 and $4000.00 worth of prescriptions where nobody gets coverage but yet in it in the budget it's almost a trillion dollars So you still want to point out all the weaknesses you say well here's another problem yeah do you promise that you're not I doesn't deny all of the absurdities in the inner Affordable Care Act that we mentioned And speaking of sort of use those terms and version will be sticking around along with your as so funny I'm sorry and he's a 46 You're listening to Jimi about the show I'll be right back. Baltimore the I think Chief of the state's Department of Health and Mental Hygiene has his nomination hearing scheduled and a case against a man arrested by one or more of the federally indicted Baltimore police officers has been dropped these stories and more on News Radio 1090. This news radio tag 19 getting beat up here during the break Professor I need to say I have a book coming out on Thomas Oz and me 1st by transaction books and that will answer all of your question I think if you had a book coming out of Brooks Robinson or Johnny Unitas you would sell more copies you know I figure out that you don't opportunity to clarify your stance when it comes to psychology. Our psychiatrist so Ok Ok let me let me take a minute or 2 to do so I absolutely believe in the importance of psychology for for under-age people because there are problems that people can't deal with and there are some excellent people out there not who used psychological theories but those who understand the conflict children have the parents can understand I actually believe in that but when adults when adults get psychiatric treatment it is there is for life there it Woody Allen has been is still is like I it's been like 56 decades he's been he's been in the psychiatric care it is simply it is simply getting a person to reinterpret your life and it is it has but the long times gardens and joy rection Yes but it's not clarity it's not medical I've I have a quote I've a question for you. Ever since I took office and the district I represent I have had. Close to 135 people who went to Calvert Hall who were sexually abused by Father Brett and it's a awful awful thing that happened and I have worked hard in of this year we're passing a bill to increase the statue of limitations to when you can sue civil way. And a lot of these people come to testify for my committee on judicial proceedings and they talk about how they never it never came into their consciousness what happened to them and they acted out in a lot of awful ways whether they were divorces or domestic abuse or or in in some cases doing the same thing to others as they got older and then through psychiatry at seeing a psychiatrist or a psychologist it came into the forefront and I've read about repressed memory syndrome what you listen to them is it seems to me and amateur like it's fairly close to you did not I that going to a psychiatrist or psychologist go back into your past and then to retrieve this can be helpful and can get you where you need to go so you can lead a somewhat productive life I think I think for such people who represent an absolutely typical group of patients for psychiatry really I think yeah it let me say I think that it is now listed by the American Psychiatric Association that over 55 percent of the public is mentally ill and he went on to answer my question oh well yeah but that's an important point yeah that there Nate typical group to your point regarding everything it's like everything is it's a disorder everything is a condition I got that I but can you answer my question though I think it could be helped Yes I think some can be helped I think some have some good in the psychiatric context to interpret everything through through historicism I think it can make it a lifelong problem for them that we have a real problem with over medicating our kids in this country right now because everything is a guessable disease or disorder and they've got some major program all of the all of the articles on the problems of giving. And that's when you date to 2 millions of children which I was writing about in the eighty's I don't agree on is very good I don't disagree by the way I have an article in I have an article in the eighty's in the New England Journal of Medicine the top I have a letter I'm sorry it's a letter but they their letters are are more like articles and it's like what about Assad he didn't talk the Russians have a deal with Russians I'm an article a not a lot of just getting He wanted to say Georgia for 3 times and click your heels. Max want to. Go but you I want to know your wants are Ok here's a situation people got to understand if you cut out Social Security the rest of this stuff there's a reverse multiplier effect when asking market crash to reach the government to bail everybody out because we would go into a depression if you cut out Social Security they'll be able to reverse multiplier the money will be out of the economy like they had funds and all that they have no margin required you start cutting back until what should have been done a long time ago we're going to put the country into a major depression that's what's going to happen I don't think anybody suggested cutting Social Security not on this program just talking money increasing the age Max I mean what do you think would happen if if you couldn't get your 1st benefit till age 65 rather than 62 I mean do you think that's what happened I think 66 is what you're talking about because it's up to 66 now but you know what I think you know what they have to say people have paid into the system 15 percent. If your employer paid in and you haven't got that much more or you pay that you didn't get a tax deduction for it you didn't get a withholding thing for it's money that was put into the system the government took that money and did other things with it. Well and that's the problem with people that think that they're actually paying into Social Security at the end of the day just an extension of the income tax you can frame it however you want it's just an extension of like you know any income tax to pay for have anything so maybe they should just get everybody thank you can and start taking that money if you look at India now if you want to play with the cash just on their debt getting rid of paper and that's when I see what's going to happen here government's going to have to do that look at Cyprus thank you Max look at Cyprus where they're going to into your bank deposits I tell you something else Ok retirement accounts IRAs and Eros that's going to be the last untouched pool of money right now that the government hasn't really seized that's coming also not I think I promise you that this is agree with the cashless society that's common but with the qualified plans are raised for one case the government already has a mechanism to tax that money they created those plans right as an incentive for you to put the money away so that they could tax it later what do you capture later later how about have a Tyrone How about all their early withdrawals where they where they were temporarily where they grab 10 percent off that plane that they were they're making money who are Senator if you wait until after $70.00 and you don't start taking those required minimum distributions then you get hit with the 50 percent tax yeah Johnny Cockeysville John thank you for holding me down Hey guys how you doing today John hey look you know I hate to tell you I had to laugh when I heard this story I mean it's well I had to laugh but it's kind of sad another way to I mean they talk about the food stamps the staff program you know they have the illegals are free to to go and get their food stamp and Snap benefits because they're afraid they're going to be exposed and deported you know what my question simply is is why are illegal aliens getting food stamps anyway you know I mean really I mean it's it's it's just so convoluted it just makes your head want to. We have food stamps John I'm sorry why do we have food stamps. Well that's a good question in itself why do we have food stamp because it's a massive $60000000000.00 annual giveaway to big ag Wow It's crony capitalism it was my Islam Well that's what I did have a how about this maybe we give out food stamps because people are hungry and maybe that would be it's a massive giveaway if they guy got to tell me honestly at the end of the day at the end of the day that he said we need a school district in Baltimore City where you have 7075 percent of the studio students are receiving free breakfast honestly because they honestly can't afford a dollar a day for breakfast Are you really going to tell me that if you really are so this thing under the whole umbrella of compassion. Thank you I mean there just you know I mean you know if you saw some of the people in my district and other districts and the income level of their parents and the fact that it's very difficult to learn when you're hungry and it's not your fault what your parents spend their money on Ok you're under 18 and if you don't have compassion for this I don't care if you run in a Republican primary or a general election you could have a big problem because you know the kind of audience that I have all I have all the way I say Can we listen about for this is what you're going for me to the boss I'm going to respond to it and I think I have all the compassion in the world and I'll tell you what I'll play along with your premise and I will concede the fact that nobody scamming the system and everybody that's receiving food stamps honestly needs it now under that premise if you have 20 percent the American economy that cannot put food on the table if that's really where we are as a country then there better be a revolution and quickly I don't think so if you see other countries by God go to other countries like 40 percent like you thank you thank God we're not real Wanda Ok Is that seriously the part how you're going to gauge your economic success in this country not if you know what if you want more food on the table more programs go to Western Europe a 45 percent 50 percent in taxes and you'll get the I'm not the one that's my when this country after your peeing model Ok what the Democrats are when it comes to health care food housing and everything else lay them anymore they're gone do you run the world Ok you run the country Ok You know it's not. Ok you know how can you go after food stamps that's just that's that's foul you don't know you've never had come with a Come with me to Baltimore County one day and I'll show you how the program runs and you get on the air and apologize and look I got to be honest the program has changed so much that now they give the recipients a card so it's like a debit card and freedom card I believe is what it's called I think it's call independent state and it's crisis back in the day Ok when we were coming up we were on food stamps for a minute and it wasn't cool it wasn't as cool as a card Ok They were these big bills Ok They were like size and a half of a dollar Ok. And I thought we thought back then that it was designed to give you a slight bit of embarrassment Ok since that right spin that says to say hey this is something temporary You need to move off of it at some point which we did as a family is like if you're a politician you have to have a license plate that says like Senate $42.00 so everybody knows you are there's a great analogy maybe a scarlet letter there maybe you'll get what Luddite I. Cannot confirm or deny that he's a licensed accusations from the senator that's the surgeon broaching Jimmy Mathis tyrant Keyes Rick Yvette's guys we are on the other side I'm late in this I apologize never said in our clock news we will play the president's weekly radio address on Saturday it's released usually late afternoon on Friday we will play that in its entirety an awful lot going to Washington d.c. Right now as a Republican sort of painted themselves into a corner right now on what they do with the Affordable Care Act at the end of the day this really is business as usual center want to get your take on this Republicans for the 6th year in a row running one elections on repealing the Affordable Care Act at the end of the day this is pretty much status quo be right back.
