Reporter hi there rick what we have been told is workers became sick and at 10 00 oclock this morning one passed out we are told and six or seven people became dizzy and nauseated. Now they are being treated on the scene right now by emts. These people have not been transported to the hospital, and other employees here, that is them waiting on the lawn right now but this situation to clear. Lets go to aerials from chopper six. This was the scene this morning as hazmat crews responded. Fire fighters in full hazmat gear and breathing apparatus first examined a postal vehicle, and then a red car and then eventually two of the First Responders in hazmat gear went inside the building which is a carrier annex where postal carriers come and get mail for delivery. Now the report came in as a strong sweet odor that caused the evacuation and made people sick. It is still unclear why, or how that happened. Now, hamiltons Health Officer says a number of air quality tests have been conducted at the scene. So far they are not coming up with any kind of a noxious or toxic substance in the the air. Dozens of workers as you said, or as you saw were outside on the lawn. They are still there now. A number of them have been check out by emts for vital is a at the scene. No one was taken to the hospital, according to hamilton Health Officer jeff and they are being monitored on the ground. More breaking news here in the rhawnhurst section of philadelphia where a car slammed into a house. It happened about 45 minutes ago, here on the 2300 block of loany street. You can see the vehicle went through the brick front of the home no word on what cause the car to korean out of control and we are working to find out if anyone was hurt. Well, the last of the derailed train cars has been removed from Port Richmond clearing way for amtrak to repair the damage tracks. Meanwhile investigators continue to focus on why the train sped up dramatically in the last minutes before it crashed. Meanwhile, a survivor of the crash has filed the first lawsuit against amtrak. The Bruce Phillips of southwest philadelphia is being treated for brain and spine injuries. He actually works for amtrak and was catching a ride for free while he was offduty. Federal lawsuit is seeking more than 150,000, in damages. Amtrak is working to restore service to parts of the northeast corridor. Some trains will begin running between philadelphia and new york, on monday, with full services, expect to be restored by tuesday.
