abandoned mill. crews have trouble getting a hold of this because there are not many fire hydrant nearby. no injuries were reported. thousands are expected to hit the streets in baltimore for a victory rally. demonstrators are showing up to support the decision to charge 6 baltimore police officers in connection with with his death. >> put your hands up. >> reporter: more than 50 people were arrested overnight this is new video of police officers detaining one person. dozens of people were hauled away for getting unrulied over protests. some people were arrested for violating city curfew. 6 officers were charged with felony assault and murder. the state attorney said the charges were justified, his neck was broken because he was handcuffed shackled and placed head first into a police van. his pleas for medical attention were pleatly ignored. >> i heard your call for no justice no peace your peace is sincerely needed as i want to delivery justice on behalf of this young man. now, all six officers are free on bond. their attorney said they did nothing wrong, he said that will be proven at trial. freddie gray's family said they are satisfied with the charges against the police officers. his stepfather said that the arrests are an important step in getting justice for gray. the family said that people want to show their support. they need to so peacefully. he said the last thing freddie would want is for the hard working people of baltimore lose their jobs and businesses because they were upset. the march in philadelphia was peaceful they called it turn up your baltimore. maurice he ed nero was one of two argue officers in yellow who handcuffed freddie gray and held him on the ground and moved him into the police van. the so-called rough ride is what freddie gray allegedly experienced after he was arrested. philadelphia police have been accused of giving others rough rides, as well. >> reporter: victims have used rough rides to burn issue systems. one philadelphia man who emerged from a ride in a philadelphia police wagon with a broken neck. >> these people are public servants we pay their wages there's no need to go and break people's necks. james mckenna won $495,000 from the city from a suit that that the police took him for a ride unrestrained in the police wagon. >> i hit my head and shattered three vertebrae in my neck. >> reporter: admitted guilty and the officers were never charged with a crime. while in the death of freddie gray mckenna's lawyer hopes the practice comes to an end once and for all. the police have to understand eva? >> new overnight a military humvee carrying 6 soldiers crashed on the new jersey turnpike near fort dix. four soldiers and two civilians were taken to the hospital. chopper of flew over the wreckage in chesterfield. police say a humvee and car collided. the impact sent the humvee into a tree. the driver of the humvee was critically injured. three other soldiers were seriously hurt. two others in the mazda were transported to capitol health in trenton. two people were killed in a fiery crash in cobbs creek section. police say the victims were in a chrysler that ran a red light a the 62nd and walnut. it hit a rav4 before flipping and hitting a parked car. two people trapped inside had no chance to get out alive. the driver of the rav4 is in serious condition at penn presbyterian. in baltimore, 50 people were arrested. thousands more are taking part in a victory rally. it's to celebrate the 6 police officers charged in freddie gray's death. >> reporter: these 6 baltimore police officers now suspects charged in connection with freddie gray's death. >> mr. gray's death was a homicide. >> reporter: the state's attorney saying gray should not have been arrested in the first place that the knife in his pocket was legal. once in custody, she said gray was put into the police van legs shackled hands cuffed, but officers didn't put a seat belt on him. it was in that van gray suffered a spinal cord injury when he asked for medical help officers didn't carry paramedics or offer first aid. the driver facing the most serious charge, second degree murder. >> today is a mo momentous step on the road for justice for freddie. >> reporter: the police union called it a rush to judgment following heated demand fore action from across the country. >> no officer injured mr. started at 52nd and arch last night. they spotted a man driving erratically who crashed on the sidewalk and bailed out and started running. the police officer's gun went off accidentsly. a bullet narrowly missed the suspect's head. he was not hurt. philadelphia opened fire on a pitbull that was attacking a teenager. this happened in the rear of the 200 block of higbee street in lawncrest. authorities say the dog bit the 16-year-old boy in the face. he is in critical condition. the son of a man who killed his former daughter-in-law and another woman in a delaware courthouse wants to limit evidence in his upcoming trial on federal cyber stalking charges. he stalked his ex-wife before he and a friend were gunned down by his father in 2013. they want surveillance takes place as bellford's prior statement as he feared his ex-would be left out of the trial. a high-ranking official has pleaded guilty with a deal with prosecutors saying he and others engineered huge traffic jams charges make clear what i said from day one is true i had no knowledge or involvement in the planning or execution of this act. despite that wildstein's attorney repeated his claims that the governor was aware of the traffic shutdowns. >> mr. christie knew of the lane closures while they were occurring and evidence exists to establish that. >> reporter: the u.s. attorney would not address that question only saying he didn't expect further charges charges in the case. >> tom wolf is moving lady to maintain federal health insurance subsidies for hundreds of thousands of pennsylvania residents. would feel administration said he wrote to the department of health and human services yesterday to declare his intend to operate the insurance marketplace next year. he said the letter is not bindings but provides the option depending on the court's ruling. fbi and homeland security are investigating massive internet issues at rutgers university. the problems began monday, school serve
