Indiana reports 919 more COVID cases, 16 additional deaths FREE NEWSLETTERS March 16, 2021 The Indiana State Department of Health on Wednesday reported 919 new cases of COVID-19. Daily cases have been below 1,000 for 19 of the past 20 days. The state also reported 16 new deaths due to the coronavirus. The department said 5,299 new individuals were tested. Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19 dropped from 619 on Monday to 609 on Tuesday. The high mark was 3,460, set on Nov. 30. The state said more than 870,000 Hoosiers had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Wednesday at 5 a.m. More than 1.3 million had received the first dose of a two-dose vaccination.
