MILWAUKEE - Tired of distance learning. From demonstrations to parent surveys, families are voicing their desires for kids to get back into the classroom. That seems to be the case now in several school districts in southeast Wisconsin after meetings Monday night, Jan. 11.

Racine resident Joyce Leffler, pictured in 2018, is remembered for her zeal and zest for life, which folded in all she crossed paths with, with Leffler famously bringing strangers-turned-friends into the family home for meals and socializing. The Green Bay Packers and Brown County United Way have awarded several Wisconsin middle school student groups with Character Playbook Community Impact Grants to help develop service projects that directly impact their school, neighborhood or community.
Student groups, under the guidance of a Wisconsin school or nonprofit organization, were invited to develop a service project that would help their school, neighborhood or surrounding community and submit a proposal for the project.
