JACKSON, Miss. (WDAM) The Mississippi State Department of Health reports the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Pine Belt has passed 21,000.
MSDH reported 1,700 new COVID-19 cases and 32 additional deaths Saturday, including 18 between Dec. 8-18 and another 18 discovered through a screening of death certificates from Nov. 18 through Dec. 10.
One new death was reported in Marion County, while two more in Marion County and another in Lamar County were discovered during the review of death certificates.
