Empty the Shelters event makes pet adoptions purr-fectly affordable

By Kathy Chouteau Looking for a furry friend to join your fam? Contra Costa Animal Services is partnering with Bissell Pet Foundation for its #EmptyTheShelters event today through Dec. 12, relieving some of the financial costs associated with adopting a pet. During the event, fees are waived and Bissell Pet Foundation takes care of the adoption cost so that more pets can find their forever homes (a $25 licensing fee is still required). Dogs, cats and sometimes other animals are available for adoption. Those interested in adopting a pet can visit Contra Costa Animal Services’ website to check out the available animals and to complete an adoption application.
