This dynamic launch will be hosted by LSHTM’s MARCH Centre and include a mix of film, panel sessions and talks, involving EN-BIRTH study team members from icddr,b (Bangladesh), Ifakara Health Institute and Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (Tanzania), and Golden Community Nepal plus Uppsala University. Panel discussions will involve national government leaders and high level WHO and UNICEF experts.
The event will be of relevance to all working in maternal and newborn health programmes, or in routine data systems, as well as academics and global health students interested in measurement improvement.
LSHTM & Global Health Film series: 2040
Global Health Film and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine are delighted to announce a new partnership to deliver virtual global health film screenings and expert panel discussions through the year. The first season of film screenings will start at 17.15 on Thursday 10 December with the film 2040.
Global Health Film are a registered UK charity using storytelling through film, animation and immersive reality to spark discussion, enhance understanding, and effect positive social change in all areas of global health including planetary health, access to healthcare, mental health, infectious disease, and refugee and migrant health.
2040 is an inspiring film, directed by Damon Gameau, about initiatives that exist to tackle planetary health issues and the technology already at our disposal that we can all use to make a difference. The panel discussion will take place between 18.50 and 19.30.
