福岡県太宰府市の九州国立博物館（九博）は、今年4月から、常設の文化交流展示室での写真撮影を解禁した。展示室の入り口には「写真を撮ろう！」「SNSにもアップしよう」と大きく書かれたパネルが設置されている。
フラッシュ撮影、三脚や「自撮り棒」の使用、動画撮影などの禁止事項も書かれているが、「最近のスマートフォンのカメラは高性能で、暗い展示室でフラッシュや三脚を使わなくても写真が撮れるようになっている。博物館としても、他の見学者の迷惑や収蔵品の保護を理由に、撮影を制限することは難しくなってきていた」と展示課の小澤佳憲・主任学芸員は話す。
