Warner Bros International Acquires Nippon TV Format Sokkuri Sweets

Sokkuri Sweets The hit pastry trickery show is being adapted to the Netherlands as Showcolade, which will involve local celebrities being duped into believing chocolate creations are real-life objects. Shortly ahead of MIPTV, Warner Bros. International Television Production (WBITVP) picked up the right to develop and produce Japanese broadcaster Nippon TV s hit gameshow format Sokkuri Sweets. WBITVP has acquired exclusive rights to produce a local version of Sokkuri Sweets in the Netherlands, and WBITVP’s production company BlazHoffski has already started production on the adaptation. The Dutch version will be called Showcolade and will air on NPO1, the top-rated public broadcast channel in the Netherlands.
