Berryville High School graduate Mary-Kennedy Jackson was honored Saturday, Feb. 27, as a member of the Purple Society at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. The Purple Society recognizes outstanding campus leaders for their scholastic achievements and outstanding contributions to the campus community. Jackson also recently was honored by the national Sigma Kappa Sorority for Excellence in Recruitment Leadership. Jackson was the sororitys UCA chapters recruitment chair for 2020 during the pandemic and had to adjust to recruiting under COVID-19 protocols. Family members were unable to attend the Purple Society presentation because of COVID-19 restrictions, but Jacksons parents Scott Jackson and Missy Jackson and grandmother Ann Ferrill traveled to Conway and treated her to lunch to celebrate her accomplishments.
