Police spotted the erratic driving of Paul McPhee and followed him. The incident ended with 28-year-old McPhee, of Duke Street, Denny, appearing in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court. He admitted that on April 24, on the M90 and Admiralty Road, Rosyth, he drove having consumed excess alcohol. His reading was 88 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the limit being 22 microgrammes. Depute fiscal Mat Piskorf said that at 12.55am, police on patrol became concerned about the erratic way a car was being driven in Rosyth. “It was slowing down on long stretches then speeding up at roundabouts.” They followed the car and it went onto the M90 before McPhee was stopped.
A VISITOR to Dunfermline sustained lifelong injuries when he was thrown out of a nightclub by a doorman. The man sustained a fractured kneecap and deep facial cut after being ejected from the Brasshouse by staff member Thomas Bater. The incident was captured on CCTV, which showed the injured man lying sprawled on the pavement outside the venue. Bater, 30, of Leadside Crescent, Wellwood, was found guilty after a trial at Dunfermline Sheriff Court. He had denied that on April 1, 2018, at Carnegie Drive, he assaulted the victim by pushing him on the body, causing him to the fall to the ground, whereby he was rendered unconscious, all to his severe injury, permanent disfigurement and permanent impairment.
