Police responded to the fifth fatal shooting in five days in the Portland area on Thursday, Dec. 17. The name of the most recent victim was not immediately released, and no suspect information was available. As of Friday morning, no one had been arrested in any of the killings. According to police, shortly before 7 p.m. on Dec. 17, homicide detectives were called to the scene of a fatal shooting in the area of North Vancouver Avenue and Stanton Street, not far from Legacy Emanuel Medical Center.
