Agrizzi’s bail conditions relaxed, Bosasa case postponed to May Molefe Seeletsa

The corruption and fraud case against former ANC MP Vincent Smith and former Bosasa chief operating officer Angelo Agrizzi has been postponed to 28 May.
This was in order to allow the National Prosecuting Authority provide the accused with further disclosure of the charge docket.

Richard Mdluli’s troubles seem to be
piling up.
Earlier today a warrant of arrest was
issued for the former crime intelligence boss for failure to appear at the
North Gauteng High Court in Tshwane.
The matter has been postponed to 12 March
for the setting of a trial date.
Mdluli was supposed to appear for charges
relating to the allegation of gross abuse of the police intelligence slush
Silicosis trust set to ramp up compensation payments to victims

The Tshiamiso Trust yesterday said it would set up infrastructure to fast track compensation of the silicosis and tuberculosis (TB) victims in mines after only seven of the historic R5 billion claimants had been paid to date.
Speaking during the virtual launch press conference, the trust’s chief operating officer, Tina da Cruz said Tshiamiso had started processing claims.
“To date we have paid seven claims and there are quite a number of claims in the pipeline.
“We have completed over 400 benefit medical examinations (BMEs),” Da Cruz said, adding that the trust was in the process of confirming the work history of the applicants.
