One of the most popular holiday events in Taiwan is Christmas Wonderland in New Taipei, which started on Nov. 13 and will run to Jan. 3, 2021. The event is centered in the area outside New Taipei City Hall, with market fairs and concerts planned. The city government, however, canceled activities starting on Dec. 22, except for the light shows, when Taiwan reported its first domestically transmitted COVID-19 case since April.
