Ford Motor Company is donating $1 million to schools across America through its Drive 4 UR School program. Funds will be available to teachers working at public schools that serve low-income communities, helping cover them cover classroom costs. And you can help!
Take a virtual test drive, donate $50 to teachers
During Teacher Appreciation Week, which runs May 3-7, visit drive4urschool.com/teachers and click the link to take a virtual test drive. You’ll need to fill out a short questionnaire, then you’ll be able to virtually sample three of Ford’s hottest vehicles: the 2021 Mustang Mach-E Premium, all-new F-150 Limited, and the Bronco Sport Badlands.

We’ve heard plenty of rumors about the Maverick in the past years, and the latest one appears to be just as plausible as every single one of them. Speaking to Ford Authority, sources familiar with product plans have confirmed that a hybrid powertrain option is coming to the truck. 31 photos
Why is it plausible, you ask? Because the Maverick shares the C2 vehicle architecture with the Escape compact crossover, which is available as a hybrid and plug-in hybrid. These said, let’s crunch through a few numbers.
Priced from $28,265 excluding destination charge, the Escape Hybrid combines a briefcase-sized battery with two electric motors and a 2.5-liter engine. This powertrain is good for 198 horsepower, 155 pound-feet (210 Nm) of torque, and up to 44 miles per gallon (5.3 liters per 100 kilometers) on the combined cycle, according to the Environmental Protection Agency.

According to a sales report for February 2021, the Blue Oval manufactured no fewer than 21 examples of the breed. Already snapped on public roads and the assembly line, the Maverick has been masterfully rendered by our friends at Kolesa based on existing spy photos.
Beefy would be an excellent word to describe the front fascia, which features an upright design and C-shaped headlights with L-shaped LED signature lighting. Horizontal chrome trim connects the headlights to the automaker’s badge, and the hood is flat, as most of us would expect from a pickup truck.
