Former jail corporal charged with statutory rape

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. (WTVF) â A former Montgomery County Jail Corporal was indicted on multiple rape charges.
36-year-old Brett Badgett was charged with two counts of statutory rape and two counts of rape.

He worked for the Montgomery County Sheriff s Office. County officials say the assault happened in July 2012 just a few months before Badgett was hired.
He was terminated earlier this month.
