RANCHI: The practical examinations for Classes X and XII conducted by the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) started on Tuesday amid elaborate measures to check the spread of the Covid-19 virus among the examinees and the invigilators. The JAC had also announced that it is planning to hold the matriculation and intermediate examinations from May 4.
Meanwhile, the examination, slated to be held on Wednesday at the state-run Amar Sahid Thakur Vishwanath Shahdeo Zila School, was postponed to Thursday after eight of its students tested positive for Covid-19 in a recent drive carried out at the institution.
