OPINIONÂ Â Weâre all familiar with Isaac Newtonâs well-known law of physics that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Although specific to the science of physics, we can apply the lawâs same concept to many other aspects of our lives. We know our daily actions impact others. One personâs bad behavior has repercussions that can affect many others.
Climate change is a perfect example of Newtonâs law playing out. Extreme weather events â caused by climate change â are a result of irresponsible decisions made by wealthy fossil-fuel-energy corporations. The weather events are causing farmers to lose their livelihoods, displacing families from their homes and posing greater risks to all Wisconsinitesâ health and public safety.

The meeting also proved to be a reminder of the limitations the state of Texas has placed limitations on municipalities to control the sort of projects they can permit. The commissionâs first agenda item was to grant a conditional use permit to allow a Dallas-based liquor store chain to set up shop in the former location of Collins Street Bakery â just off Interstate 30.

While there are currently Guinness World Records for numerous beer-related accolades, including the world’s oldest beer and the biggest glass of beer ever poured, there is not currently a category for the world’s hottest beer. A Carolina Reaper beer might just be the first tipple to win the accolade.
Roy Parrish’s Maltese Brewing Company is attempting to break new ground, then, with its Signal One 2.0 IPA, which is infused with a quite startling 500 Carolina Reaper chilis.
