LHC stops tree cutting to set up housing societies

MULTAN: Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Muhammad Qasim Khan Thursday ordered for stopping cutting of trees in Multan city for setting up new housing societies.
While presiding over a meeting at the LHC Multan Bench, he reviewed his past orders, issued for the uplift of Multan. He expressed satisfaction over implementation of the orders and asked for stopping tree felling for setting up housing colonies, and taking legal action against builders involved in tree cutting.
The LHC CJ said they had a responsibility to make country pollution-free for the next generations. “No one can be allowed to pollute the natural environment,” he warned.

The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) was voted to power by the masses and the opposition should honour that public mandate, Mr Qureshi said while talking to the people of his constituency on Saturday.
The minister said the whole nation knew the politics of PDM leaders very well and the government was not worried about their so-called protest movement.

MULTAN (Dunya News) - Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Hussain Qureshi has asked why Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) is waiting for January 31 to resign from assemblies.
In a statement, the Foreign Minister said that the Prime Minister has the confidence of both people and the House, the PTI came to power with full mandate and the opposition must respect the public mandate.
He said that the whole nation has become aware of the reality of PDM, we do not care about the protest of PDM. Why is the PDM waiting for January 31 to resign. Imran Khan will not resign at the behest of the PDM or under any pressure.
