Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan extended his greetings on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr to fans and thanked them for making his latest crime-thriller drama ‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’- the most-watched film on the first day of its release.
Taking it to his Twitter handle, Salman shared a poster of the film and announced that his movie has broken the records on the first day of its release and that the film was watched by more than 4.2 million viewers on the OTT platform.

Mumbai: Salman Khan’s much hyped Bollywood movie Radhe-Your Most Wanted Bhai finally got released on Eid, May 13. Directed by Prabhu Deva, the movie released in a hybrid model which means both in cinemas and on digital platforms. Fans of the actor had a lot of expectations from the action drama because bhai was coming back to the screen after a span of over one year.
However, it received mixed response from actor’s fans, film buffs and critics. While some declared Radhe as Eid blockbuster, others criticed the plot of the film. Radhe has upset Bhaijaan’s fans and the film’s IMDb rating is proof.

Mumbai: The makers of one of the much-awaited upcoming movies Radhe-Your Most Wanted Bhai starring Salman Khan, had announced last month that the film will have both theatrical and digital release. The Prabhu Deva directorial is set to hit the screens on Eid, May 13 in India and across the world.
But due to second wave of COVID-19, the majority of the Indian audience will, unfortunately, have to take the digital route to watch the film as theatres are shut down in many cities to curb the spread of virus. However, countries like the USA, UK, UAE, Australia, New Zealand will see a proper theatrical release.
The film would also open in theatres worldwide, adhering to the COVID protocol issued by the government.
Shariq Patel, CBO, Zee Studios said the coronavirus pandemic forced the team to "innovate" their distribution strategy at a time when several states have either put an occupancy cap or completely shut down cinema halls.
"While we all love to catch the latest movies at the nearest theatres, we realized we'd be doing a disservice to Salman's fans nationwide if we aren't able to release theatrically in all Indian states.
We sensed the need for a pay per view solution along with theatres, which gives the consumers flexibility and convenience of viewing the film.

Following a surge in Covid-cases, the Maharashtra government announced closure of cinema halls in the state, and right after the announcement, Rohit Shetty announced that his next, Sooryavanshi with Akshay Kumar in lead, will not release on April 30. Ever since then, there looms an uncertainty about the future of some other films slated to hit the big screen in the month of May. Pinkvilla was the first to reveal that Salman Khan and the team of Radhe are now looking to bring their action thriller on the Bakri Eid weekend in July.
