Allowing ‘due process of law’ is a vindication of charges levelled: Sajjala
The allowing of the “due process of law” by the Supreme Court in the case relating to YSRCP MP K. Raghu Ramakrishna Raju is a vindication of the serious charges levelled against him by the Crime Investigative Department (CID), according to YSRCP general secretary and Adviser (Public Affairs) Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy.
The CID had charged Mr. Raju under IPC Section 124 (A) and other IPC sections for “sedition and inciting tempers and disaffection against the government.”
‘Such decisions may undermine the democratic process’
YSRCP general secretary and Adviser (Public Affairs) Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy has said that the State High Court order cancelling the elections conducted for the ZPTCs and MPTCs in April is unfortunate.
“The elections were conducted with much difficulty. Many government personnel risked their lives in performing electoral duties. Such decisions could undermine the democratic process, and people could lose faith in the electoral process. The voting percentage was high even amid COVID-19 restrictions. We see no reason in cancelling the process,” Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy told the media on Friday.
Stating that the State Election Commission had conducted the parishad elections as directed by a similar Division Bench of the High Court, Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy said it was unfortunate that the judgment ignored the people’s decision.

Adviser (Public Affairs) Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy has lashed out at TDP national president N. Chandrababu Naidu for “spreading falsehood” over the new strain of COVID-19, N440K, as a result of which the governments of Delhi and Odisha have imposed restrictions on the people travelling from Andhra Pradesh.
Addressing the media at the party central office here on Friday, Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy alleged that Mr. Naidu’s aim was to defame the government.
“Thanks to Mr. Naidu’s malicious propaganda, the governments of Delhi and Odisha have imposed new restrictions on the people travelling from Andhra Padesh. People visiting these State will now have to be in quarantine for 14 days,” Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy said.

Addressing the media at the party central office here, Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy said that Mr. Naidu was trying to instigate government personnel and derive political mileage.
“Mr. Naidu is trying to cast his spell sitting in his cosy home in Hyderabad. Does he have the courage to face people and fight for their cause? He claims to have invented the online system. Is it possible to produce food and supply essential services online? Is it possible to cook online?” Mr. Reddy questioned.
