Italian Grand Prix - A podium, a duel and a great show in front of a sea of red

Scuderia Ferrari put on a great show in the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. The team finished third and fourth courtesy of Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc who gave the Red Bulls a hard time throughout the race, before leaving the tifosi with their collective heart in mouth as they duelled between themselves for a place on the podium. It was a nice birthday present for Carlos who turned 29 earlier in the week. It is his 16th Formula 1 podium, his first this season and number 802 for the team.

On January 3 1903, in the Austrian town of Leonding, 65-year-old Alois Hitler was drinking red wine in a tavern when he suffered a lung haemorrhage, collapsed and died. German town opposed to LNG terminals asks for operator's finances to be checked

The German resort town of Binz has asked anti-money laundering authorities to investigate the capital of Deutsche ReGas, operator of a planned liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal which the town opposes on environmental grounds. Germany has fast-tracked the building to LNG terminals as it looks to reduce its reliance on piped Russian supply. But Binz this month responded to parliament's passing of a reform to speed up the process by saying it would take legal action against the federal government's plans to build LNG terminals off the Baltic Sea coast.
