Nagaland observes 'International Day of Yoga'

DC Wokha urges to expand healthcare services

Dimapur, June 21 (EMN): The deputy commissioner and chairman of district health society, Wokha, Ajit Kumar Ranjan, has encouraged the District Hospital authorities to expand healthcare services in order to increase footfall in the hospital. Ajit Kumar stated this during the meeting of district health society held in the conference hall of Dr. Motsuo Memorial District Hospital (DMMDH) in Wokha town on June 21. He explained that the meeting was called to discuss district health statistics, implementation of various programmes, schemes, projects under medical department, challenges and issues, an update from the office of the chief medical officer (CMO), Wokha, stated. Two-day training on fire fighting, fire safety underway across state

Dimapur, June 20 (EMN): A two-day basic fire fighting training and fire safety audit inspection for different stakeholders was organised by the Nagaland Fire and Emergency Services on Monday. The objective of the training was to spread mass awareness on fire safety, code of practice, dos and don’ts, etc. Kohima: The training was held at State Academy Hall in Kohima. Speaking at the training programme, Inspector NFES, Sedevizo Hibo highlighted that to ensure the prevention of recurrence of fire incidents in institutional buildings like hospitals and nursing homes in the state, the Nagaland Fire and Emergency Services has been appointed as the nodal department to conduct inspections and fire safety audit of hospitals and nursing homes (both Government and Private sectors) as per the National Building Code.
