PALAKKAD: The Golden Crow Pheasant for the best film was awarded to South African film This is not a burial, it’s a resurrection directed by Lemohang Jeremiah Moses as the curtains came down on the 25th International Film Festival of Kerala on Friday. It was conducted in four venues Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thalassery and Palakkad.The award for the best film as decided by the audience went to Churuli directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery.

10 foreign films among 14 films in the section
Ten more films have been selected for the International Competition section of the 25th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) to be held from February 10.
Among the selected films is the Iranian film
There Is No Evil, directed by Mohammad Rasoulof, which won the Golden Bear for Best Film at the 70th Berlin International Film Festival.
Lesotho’s entry
This Is Not a Burial, It’s a Resurrection directed by Lemohang Jeremiah Mosese is Lesotho’s entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 93rd Academy Awards. This is the first time that the country is making a submission to the category.
