Mulberry St., Wilmington. The food distribution will be at the parish center door in the alleyway. The recipients should remain in their cars. This pantry is open to all eligible residents of Clinton County. If you know anyone that would benefit from this pantry, please let them know. TEFAP Eligibility Guidelines: Household incomes less than 230% federal poverty line. Picture ID and current piece of mail necessary for registration. Please empty your vehicle’s trunk to make room for groceries.

It was hard to watch the president playing golf while a bipartisan COVID-19 relief package, a Payroll Protection Program renewal and an expired unemployment benefits package sat on his desk along with the National Defense Authorization Act. Jo Marie Hernandez, whose unemployment aid lapsed over the weekend, told USA Today, “Politicians keep giving us false hope, but they are out of touch with the American people. It’s not easy being poor. No one sees us.”

TAKE NOTE HCPOA food drive The Highland County Peace Officers Association, along with the Highland County Firefighters Association, will be having a food drive to benefit several food pantries in Highland County. On Friday Dec. 11 through Sunday Dec. 13, non-perishable items can be dropped off at the Highland County Justice Center at 130 Homestead Ave. between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Volunteers will be available to accept donations to fill the Sheriff’s Offices Special Operations Vehicle.
