RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The South American Football Confederation (Conmebol) distributed among its associations and clubs more than US$1.305 billion, its president, Alejandro Domínguez, informed the Conmebol Council on Tuesday.
Domínguez highlighted that this figure is "much higher" than what was distributed in 2016 and assured that transfers were maintained in recent months, despite the pandemic.
During his presentation to the Council, the president of Conmebol also addressed the development of the Copa América 2021, held in Brazil, after the rejection of Argentina and Colombia, initial venues.
