Thats when the confrontation ended in gunfire, leaving neighbors shaken up. yanel mercado saw excouple fighting i just heard the loud screaming from the front of our house. karen castro yanel mercado lives across from the woman who police say was fighting over custody with the night. Mercado says the argument spilled over to the parking lot. yanel mercado saw couple fighting she was really mad, really upset, really loud and she was asking for her keys back. karen castro mercado recalls hearing the woman go back into her apartment while talking on the phone about the fight she was having with her ex boyfriend. She says she saw the woman go outside once again where they continued to argue.
