A Litchfield County eatery in Connecticut served a star-studded table over the weekend as Gov. Ned Lamont was joined by actor Christopher Meloni for dinner.
Lamont took to social media on Sunday, June 27 to share a picture that he took outside Good news Restaurant and Bar in Woodbury with the “Law and Order” actor, his wife, Ann Lamont, and Meloni’s wife, Doris Sherman Williams, a production designer in Hollywood.
“Enjoyed a fun meal last night at Good News with Sherman and @Chris Meloni, he posted on Twitter. “We talked Law and Order and then some!”
Meloni, who is best known for his role as Elliot Stabler in the “Law and Order” series and has also starred in shows such as “Oz,” “Happy!,” and “Wet Hot American Summer,” responded to the governor following his initial post.

Ned Lamont’s state Capitol office desk between the flags of the United States and Connecticut. The celebrated artwork depicts citizens assembled solemnly in front of a government hearing-room desk, and it’s called “The Right to Know.” But that title doesn’t fit in with what critics call a dismal track record by Lamont and his administration as to openness and prompt compliance with requests for public documents under the the state Freedom of Information Act. “I would say that certainly he’s developing a track record of somebody who sees FOI as more of a nuisance than a necessity,” said the president of the Connecticut Council on Freedom of Information, Mike Savino.

Kudos and credit for everything I m about to share should be directed towards Tony De Angelo, managing director of the Connecticut-based Paragon Trust Company.
Tony is a weekly contributor to my radio show, and since the onset of COVID-19 has doggedly pursued questions about the myriad and nebulous financial dealings of Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont, his wife Ann, her Hedge Fund Oak HC/FT, and those in his orbit. Without Tony s unyielding investigation much of this information would have gone unseen.
Oak HC/FT is a premier venture growth equity fund investing in health care information and financial services technology, according to its website. We know from viewing the Oak HC/FT website that Sema4 is a startup biotech corporation owned and propounded by Oak HC/FT. Sema4 received a no-bid contract from Connecticut for COVID-19 testing at an undisclosed price, as outlined in a June 2020 Hartford Courant article. And even as pressures
