Lt Governor Inaugurates CIIIT Jammu SRINAGAR: To Promote Invention, Innovation, and Incubation under the mentorship of industry pioneers and strengthen the ecosystem of entrepreneurship and skill development through Industry-Academia partnerships, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today inaugurated the Centre for Invention, Innovation, Incubation, and Training (CIIIT) at Government Polytechnic, Bikram Chowk established at a cost of Rs 181.56 crore. Congratulating the officials of CIIIT Jammu and TATA technologies, the Lt Governor said that the promise that was made by him on 7th December last year, during the inauguration of CIIIT Baramulla for speedy completion of the Jammu centre, has been fulfilled. “With the completion of this centre now, the youth of Jammu division will also get training as per the new technologies for upscaling of their skill sets. He said placement cell would assist the skilled youth to fetch jobs at the outset of their training programmes. He emphasised that every institution should upgrade their courses and curriculum as per the standards required by the private and public sectors. Share Jammu : Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha today attended the closing ceremony of 32nd National Road Safety Month and Fitness Mela here at Gulshan Ground. During his visit, the Lt Governor launched 07 Online Services and e-inaugurated 19 ‘Learner’s License Test Centres’ for students at Polytechnics/ITIs across J&K. Buses procured under J&K Transport Subsidy Scheme were also flagged off by the Lt Governor. During his address, the Lt Governor underlined the significance of spreading awareness on road safety and following traffic rules. The transition from Road Safety Week to Road Safety Month shows that increasing road accidents is a critical issue. The Government is making continuous efforts to make the public aware and this Road Safety Month was also one such effort, the Lt Governor said.
