The talented members of the Vale of Avoca Men’s Shed have generously donated a beautiful bench they crafted to an upcoming raffle in support of the Avoca Community Hall.
OâBrien running for Avoca Council
Dennis OâBrien, a life resident of West Avoca, announces his candidacy for Avoca Borough Council, first ward.
OâBrien, who is married with three children and a grandfather, is a U.S. Army veteran and earned a technical certification in computer science from Starr Technical School.
He has worked in public safety with Luzerne County and currently works for the Pittston Area School District as a security officer.
OâBrien serves on the Luzerne County Democratic Committee representing Avoca Boroughâs first ward, is a member of many of Avocaâs civil organizations and has served on the board of directors for many of these organizations.
