Hospitalizations due to COVID-19 are down and there have been more resolved cases than new cases since Monday in Renfrew County and district.
The June 3 case summary posted on the Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) website at noon today reports one person in intensive case and two in hospital and 18 individuals self-isolating. This is down from 23 active cases on May 31 (14 self-isolating, seven in hospital and two in ICU).

The health unit has reported four new cases since Tuesday (two each June 2 and 3) and five additional resolved cases. The location of the newest infections, which are all classified as community cases, is two in Pembroke, bringing the active cases to six, and one each in Laurentian Hills and McNab/Braeside. There are still active cases in Arnprior, Bonnechere Valley, Deep River, Horton, Laurentian Valley, North Algona Wilberforce and Petawawa.

With just eight new positive cases of COVID-19 and 20 additional resolved cases since Monday, the RCDHU is reporting 31 active cases.
The May 20 case summary update showed one person in intensive case, four in hospital and 26 individuals self-isolating. This is down from 44 active cases May 17.

Of the eight new cases reported since the May 17 case summary update (May 20 – three, May 19 – five) there is one new infection among health-care workers employed outside of Renfrew County and district and the remaining seven infections are classified as community cases. The location of the most recent cases is as follows: two in Laurentian Valley and one each in Petawawa, Whitewater Region, Laurentian Hills, Bonnechere Valley, Admaston/Bromley and Arnprior.
