A Swords primary school teacher has double cause for celebration after landing her dream job last September and now receiving a prestigious award from Hibernia College.
Gemma Fallon, from Rivervalley in Swords, who has just started teaching at Holy Family SNS in Swords, was amongst the top students in her class at this year's conferring of degrees in primary teaching.
In addition to receiving her Masters qualification, Gemma was honoured with the medal for 'Best Research Project' - awarded to the student in each cohort who achieves the highest grade in research on the College's Primary programme.
Gemma spoke to The Fingal Independent about her reaction to receiving the award for her dissertation, which promotes children's well-being through the practice of yoga in the classroom.
