Bezos Doesn T News Today

dumpster fire, hasnt it. these are two people that are troubled and the details that are disturbing, they both accuse each other of abuse. and a lot of people have looked at amber heards testimony and found some of the things that shes claimed dubious. the same could be said also of johnny depp and i think you see a little bit of that play out. and in terms of victims of abuse coming forward, regardless of how this shakes out, there may be people who take away from this that their alle...

Andrew ross sorkin. good to see you. this back and forth between the white house and bezos doesnt get us anywhere. prices are still through the roof for everybody buying groceries and gas. what did you make of the argument that jeff bezos is making? >> well it is a bit of a soap opera. and jeff bezos is not wrong in the following way. it is a different issue. taxes would have an impact on inflation in the short-term. but obviously taxes are a long-term issue. so the question of whether you want ...

Kind of interesting. one of the things thats worth pointing out is the bezos approach, the blue origin approach, does have a crew escape system. in other words, the capsule can be fired away from the rocket stack. if something goes wrong as theyre flying toward the edge of space. so there is a level of safety there that, frankly, isnt available in the virgin galactic flight which doesnt have a crew escape system. beyond that, i think the other thing thats worth pointing out here is the pr panach...

I remember, jake, back in 2005 in new york, branson showed up at a news conference. there were 70 cameras there. i counted them. all they did was lift the curtain and reveal a scale model of the craft you just saw flying. i thought, wow, this guy is good. he really doesnt have anything. yet he can really get the media talking about him. so bezos, i suspect, will be a much lower key deal. >> kristin fisher, you saw richard branson smiling, his family members running to hug him on the tarmac. what...

Beast." how real is this a possibility it leads back to the white house? >> it is a real possibility. it is important to be extremely clear about what it is we think we know and what we truly dont know. what we think we know is michael sanchez, the brother of the woman that bezos appears to be dating, that hes the one who supplied ami with these texts, with these stolen texts and photos. what we dont know, however, is why he did this. who asked him to do it? what he was paid or what he was compe...

That content is embarrassing photos of bezos, in risque positions, i guess, that bezos doesnt want out there. theres a whole bunch of other things. trump is a longtime good friend with david pecker who is the chief executive over at the yooir "enquirer "national enquirer." there are a lot of overlaying factions as well. theres a few things, though, that we can look at going forward. we really dont know how the "national enquirer" obtained these text messages between bezos and his mistress. its s...

Warren with the nomination, i promise that. she has all of this baggage because of this whole native american thing. if only shes just never pretended that she wasnt white then she may have had a shot, but this has been something that shes been mopped -- mocked for continually and she deserves to be mocked and when we talk about cultural appropriation all the time. for her to-- i mean, she personifies cultural appropriation. its not like she once was seen eating a taco with a sombrero on. she ac...

Ultimately end up with the inquirer. bezos doesnt care about the money, he has enough of the money. leland: if you sue the inquirer you get discovery, depose employees, he hasnt done any of that -- >> he can buy the inquirer if he wants to find that out and he doesnt have to sue them at all. he can do all sorts of things but the inquirer has journalistic privileges and even if you sue them, theres all sorts of issues of whether or not you would be able to find the information out as to who their...

Very much. federal prosecutors are investigating conduct here. keep in mind, the company has 3-year better behaved deal that was scored on the michael cohen and whether it had anything to amount of stories amounting to payoffs. bottom line it could get messy there, attorney andrew sullivan. andy, where do you think its going? >> inning 2 of 9-inning ball game. i think you will likely see investigation into mr. pecker, theres a chance the immunity deal could be turned up which is a huge, huge pro...

Things and in courts, once the major decisions have been made, be turned back over to the justice department for trial for sentencing and other dispositions. that doesnt mean that muellers primary mandate cant come to a conclusion. it sounds like thats whats happening. neil: can i get your thoughts on jeff bezos taking on ani and national enquirer. its rich in details and a captivating story. what essentially bezos seem to be arguing, ami could be doing this as a favor to donald trump and chasin...
