Bharti Airtel has emerged as a leader in four out of five metrics measuring the service quality of telecom operators fixed broadband services, according to an OpenSignal report. Airtel has topped the charts in broadband video experience, upload speed, download speed, and peak download speed. Reliance Jio, on the other hand, emerged as a top performer in broadband consistent quality.
Airtel has expanded its Fibre-to-the-Home broadband coverage to over 430 towns with plans of covering 30 million households in over 2,000 cities in the next three years.

Shares of Bharti Airtel gained around two per cent on Tuesday, March 2, after the communication service provider announced that it has acquired 355.45 MHz spectrum across Sub GHz, mid band, and 2300 MHz bands for a total amount of Rs 18,699 crores in the latest spectrum auction conducted by the government. Through the auction, Airtel has strengthened its mid band and capacity spectrum holdings that will help it provide better customer experience at the marginal capex. All of the spectrum will enable Airtel to deliver 5G services in the future. On Tuesday, Bharti Airtel opened on the BSE at Rs 542.95, touching an intraday high of Rs 543.95 and an intraday low of Rs 529.05, so far.
