Migrants from mexico into the u. S. Laura podesta has more on this really shocking story. According to Court Documents it appears the crimes were motivated by money. The migrants told investigators they were paying 8,000 to be smuggled to los angeles or new jersey. One of the marines said he was expected to be paid 1,000 for his role. Basically its a shock to the system. The arrests happened as the marines stood in battalion formation. A spokeswoman sad the operation was carried out in public with the goal of sending a message. As soon as the arrest happened, the officers are really talking and open dialogue with the marines. The inquiry is being done by the ncis.
