After more than a decade of operation, Colleen and Mark Edmunds have made the difficult decision to retire from Grunthal Berries following the 2021 season. The two planted their first berry crops some 70 kilometres south of Winnipeg because of their love of the outdoors and passion for farming. However, the stresses that come with increasingly variable and volatile of Prairie weather, and recent extreme weather conditions, have proved too much.
