Police Blotter: Officer Says Car Went By So Fast On 153 It Made His Patrol Vehicle Shake; Man Resting On Sidewalk At Dollar General Just Needed A Break Saturday, May 22, 2021 Police initiated a traffic stop on Highway 153 SB. Police asked the driver why he was driving so fast. The man said he was not speeding, however the officer explained to him that he drove by him so fast that he shook the patrol vehicle while it was in motion. No warrants were found on the man and he was sent on his way with a warning. * * * A man on N. Lovell Avenue called police and said that he needed assistance in getting people out of his house. He said that he was allowing a man and woman to stay, but now wants them gone.

CSO Presents Romantic Concerts Thursday And Friday Sunday, February 7, 2021 Megan Chisom The Chattanooga Symphony & Opera will mark Valentine’s Day with two brand new, one-night only programs. Part of the First Horizon Foundation Instrumental Series, Romantic Strings and Romantic Winds will feature CSO ensembles in intimate performances at Brainerd Baptist Church on Thursday and Friday, playing a wide variety of both classical and modern works from across the globe.    The CSO String Quintet will perform Romantic Strings on Thursday at 7 p.m., featuring romantic classical pieces, opera excerpts, and pop hits from Dolly Parton, Diane Warren, and more. “The program will also feature a mini-set of music from and about Tennessee that pays tribute to some of the most prominent musicians in our state and provides a dose of hometown sentimentality,” says Megan Chisom, CSO principal viola.
